Especially when Naughton was available like Cabango he has his critics but as we saw recently he is still an asset at this level. Does make you wonder sometimes about the thought processes if our managers/coaches
We'll they aree American and that's the land of litigation culture.. There are already precedent in law on a similar case where Iainn Dowie was sued by Crystal Palace..... Also as I explained earlier Martins constrruucttivw dismissal may not hold water....but whatever happens its not a good look on the club
I'd he is claiming constructive dismissal stating the 9th of March as a key point he should have walked then then to justify his claim...that is usually the practice in employment law otherwise continuing employment is accepting the terms of the constructive dismissal....thoughbi suspect his defence is he left things to the end of the season foe the good of the club. He would probably have stood on better ground had he walked in March
yes this is a side show.... The issue you discuss has gone to arbitration still no outcome....rumours abound Russ is about to jump ship once more to join Brighton. The club has now decided to sue Russ things separate to the club v club issue maybe as a way to push Southampton
absolutely....today and Wednesday night Cabango in particular showed what a good defender and leader he is.
Yes he sometimes makes mistakes when distrubting the ball but his defending is top notch Franz Vecimbuer he is not but then under Martinez neither were Monk and Ash they defended and then gave the ball to Leon ti distribute....yes Ash would ping a crissfield pass but rarely was he or Monk or Tatey seen bringing the ball out if defence at their feet as Martin and Luke demands
He was lucky to still be in a job on March 9th....most other clubs would have sacked long before given that disastrous run he took us on. It's well known I didn't like him...but the support he gets still from certain corners is beyond me....even the Southampton fans are not totally enamoured with him
maybe he makes signs behind the managers backs It's not the first time in our history that this has happened...and I doubt it will be the last. We have signed players before who have only ever warmed the bench or nit even made the matchday squad.
It is interesting that all 3 managers this season have chosen to give him much game time. Was he not fit enough for Duff is he the wrong type of player for Williams?
need to start with the same starting line up as last night with the player huddle and then the intensity and desire as we saw. let's hope Sam Clueless doesn't score against us again
I think the comparison to the Newport situation is different given where they were then and where we are. can you imagine playing games in the Southern league at the.com I agree the club will never die but things are lot different now to the Petty time and Newports rise
that would be a disaster....we couldn't get that to work where would we play? Realistically we would be.lucky to get more than 3 to 4 thousand watching us imagine that at the .com Who will put up the monies ? Things are totally different to that of 24 years ago. Interestingly Mel Nurse offered to buy the club before Petty got involved but Mike Lewis refused to sell it to him. I'm not sure Martin Morgan would be willing to be the saviour in that event knowing now waht he does about football clubs.
I remember when Tosh was forced into playing our very talented youngsters when we were in a relegation battle that didn't go well. I'm all for blooding our youngsters but not in games where the oppostion will be fighting for their lives and we need to win too. These players showed intent at Hull and against Cardiff they should do again on Wednesday...if not the club should take some actions against them
I ask what happened to the passion and intensity we saw against Cardiff? It was great tixsee the return of the prekickoff players huddle but it seems that was a one off. Maybe Naughton was more of an influence than many think. It's going to be a squeaky bum finish to the season.
we witnessed a game without a yellow card being shown. I'm sure yesterdays ref had left his at home. His lack of bookings didn't help us against a physical QPR I can't believe there was no booking for the blatant push on Yates when he was through
Some very valid points there Richard...as you say we delivered plenty of crosses but we were always beaten by the giants of QPR they were a much bigger and more physical side than us. I was disappointed Williams didn't try a formation change not that I'm a lover of it but maybe bringing Cabango on going 3-5-2 with Tymon and Key pushing up and putting Lowe up top with Yates or even a 3-1-3-3Grimes playing in front fo the back 3 Tymon Cooper and Key in front with Lowe Yates and Ronald up top
