Swansea transfer news : Charles Sagoe Jr Incoming ?
Wednesday, 31st Jan 2024 22:51 by Liam Williams

Arsenal left winger Charles Sagoe Jr, who has also played on the right is expected to arrive at Swansea City before deadline day ends. He has featured for the first team in the League Cup third round against Brentford back in September. He came on for Gabriel Jesus for the final twenty two minutes.

The youngster has also featured in the EPL 2, the youth league UEFA championships and the EFL trophy for the under 21 side. From those sixteen games he has bagged ten assists and three goals.

The nineteen year old has also featured in two match day squads from the information available. He hasn’t made his debut in the Premier League for the Gunners. The transfer is expected to be a loan only deal until the season ends. This season he has played nine games in Premier League 2 assisting on six occasions and scoring once. He is young and raw, but has displayed his ability, especially out wide left. Again he is quick and has the confidence to take on players. The Swans are expected to quickly compete terms in the morning at Fairwood.

A little bit of Charlie below.

Charles Sagoe Jr coming to Swansea may come with a slight headache as he will make the number of loans six for this season. That means he will either supplement one who is leaving or the Swans believe they can work with six. Standard Liege left winger Romain Mundle has signed for Sunderland in the past two days, he was the subject of a bid from Swansea. Mundle chose the Black Cats. Sagos Jnr was also expected to sign for Sunderland, but late this afternoon he had a change of mind and chose Swansea.

More news as we get it.

Yet another loan. I would prefer Liam Smith to get a run. Kyrell Wilson is injured.
