Swans looking for more to leave but incomings are key, Sam McCallum ?
Thursday, 1st Feb 2024 14:41 by Liam Walters

Swansea City are treading water this lunchtime as two more players are in talks to join Swansea City

The main issue is that the likes of Mykola Kukharevych, Liam Cullen, Jerry Yates and two other players of interest are all in a position to leave the club. However, in Yates case he has already had an endorsement from head coach, Luke Williams. One player now definitely linked is Norwich City midfielder, Przemysław Płacheta, the Swans seemingly have offered a deal to Norwich City who are keen to move him on. This should develop this afternoon with deadline day concluding at 11pm. The latest is he is having a medical at the Swans. (Source Meczyki)

We’ve been told that Arsenal academy product, Charles Sagoe Jr is ‘close’ - his contract also ends in the summer. However, it’s another loan deal the Swans want. There is currently no news on any loan players returning to their parent clubs.

An interesting link, and it’s nothing more than that is Sam McCallum the Norwich left back. Swansea were credited with interest in the player last year. However, since then he has played a fair few Championship matches for the Canaries. All that we have is that McCallum was most certainly inquired about earlier in the month, but really that’s about it. We would imagine his price now compared to last year is much higher. Again, his contract is up at the end of the season. For us it’s a tentative link based on previous interest. Nothing more.

Why would McCallum be more expensive with only 6 months on his deal. If Norwich want cash they have about 8 hours to realise it.
