Agree with you Dave. If he was really that good wouldn't he be loaned to a Championship or Div 1 side to get experience? Loaning him to Luton in Div 2 hardly suggests that he was ready to be our back up right back in the Premier League. | | | |

Selling Simpson was the BIG mistake.
Not including Harriman instead of SWP was too, but only in hindsight. (Despite what we might think of SWP) Ehmer would still have been more likely due to him being more versatile.
If only 2 of Diame, Defoe, Borini or the French guy Beginning with A had signed, they would have replaced Max & the little waster. Not Harriman.

I think that Luton League2 says a lot about his development.
Although he impressed against Liverpool, in what was an effectively dead game, those that see him in training (I don't just mean the first team coaches), presumably don't see him as being effective first team squad material. We have seen plenty of players over the years who have impressed over one or a few games only to fade out of the picture and end up lower or non league.
It's disappointing for all that we haven't seen him come through, maybe when/if we change manager and if he is still here, he may yet make an impression. He did play 38 games last year for Gillingham last season so he must surely still have a future in the game | | | |
