SWP - This Weekend. 15:12 - May 11 with 6079 viewsJJB

I think after the reception he received by the City fans this weekend it’s only fair we get the chance to say goodbye to him this weekend at the Newcastle game don't you?

So if you agree let’s start a campaign to get him to be brought on with 5 mins to play this weekend and lets give him the reception he really deserves.

#goodbyeSWP.

How about a guard of honour and one of those presentations that Rio Ferdinand got at Old Trafford? It could be a very moving spectacle.

I was speaking to a lot of city fans on the bus back to Piccadilly and on the train home and they loved the chance to give him that welcome.Thry couldn't believe that we hated him that much.
Its a shame that more of our fans weren't there to give him the welcome he deserves from us.
I hope we get the chance this Saturday.

I got an email about following him on twitter on the way home last night and I sent him my best wishes, but he hasn't replied yet.

Has anyone said he is the reason we are down?
The reason people hate him is because he has been at the club for four years, probably stolen around £1-2 million off us for doing absolutely, 100% f*ck all.
He is a terrible footballer, and the one time he did something decent for us, he refused to celebrate due to him being at the previous club for only one year, even though he was playing for us against our rivals.
He refused to leave on several occasions, he could have gone on loan, but stayed saying he wanted a 1st team place, knowing full well this would never happen and he could get £60,000 a week for sitting on his arse.
He came on for five minutes, the least he could do was try. Instead, he somehow, somehow made us worse, and then to top it off he walks off smiling and doesn't applaud the fans.
For four years that little pr*ck has done nothing but worsened our financial condition, and does not deserve any respect from any QPR fan whatsoever.

SWP - This Weekend. on 20:10 - May 11 with 3313 viewsbosh67

If SWP isn't one of 'the bad eggs' and has turned up for training, made himself available to play for over 90% of his time at the club, then why hasn't he been used and why have we given him such a hard time?

Okay, he's not the player he was but we gave him the money and the contract. He didn't go out on loan because he wanted to play here. But he couldn't get a game.

It's all very well to boo the guy for being ex Chelsea, we've had loads of those and not done that. There seems to be an unreasonable hatred towards SWP and it's the club's bloody fault. Why pay a player X thousand a week and then never play him even if he is available? Is he shi*ter than many of those ahead of him who actually don't give a rat's arse? No.

The question is not why is he paid all the money for the amount he has played it's why has QPR taken on a player and then, regardless of his availability to play, haven't even put him in the squad. Bircham has confirmed quite clearly he's always been professional and always been available to play, apart from one leg injury in all the time he has been here.

We have wasted players for ages at QPR and although SWP may be past his best he doesn't deserve the sh*t he gets from quote a few fans. The club employed him and then chucked his availability and the money down the drain. That's a f*cking amateurish way to run a business.

Never knowingly right.

Did you mean 12 million, because at 60,000 a week, if that is what he is on, is over 3 million a year. In my view nobody is worth that much playing football, but SWP is not worth more than minimum wage and that would only be if was cleaning the players boots.

He was one of Warnock's 10th choice panic buys, because he was given no funds for transfers until it was too late to get who he really wanted. I don't know the reasons for the delay, but if Fernandes had got the deal done earlier we would have had a much better team that year and our subsequent seasons may well have been far more pleasant.

He doesn't play because he's shit.

People hate him perversely because rather than go on loan last season he stayed hoping to get a chance in our promotion team.

Meanwhile Taarabt sucks £60k a week out of the club, with more timber than Wickes and no interest in playing, yet some would happily tickle his knob day in day out.

As they say, it's a strange old game.

I respect you for not running with the crowd on this one, and ultimately I think turning him into a hate figure is a distraction from the real reasons we're down.

But I think the fact that City fans can't work out why he's hated is actually pretty damning.

This is a guy who had a lot of talent who has absolutely pissed it away not just here but at C*****a too. And yet he probably never needs to work again. That does rather symbolise what is wrong with football today.

4 year contract not 3, he has been paid a lot of money!

Comparing Adel to SWP is not fair, for all Adel's faults, which they are many, he has at least given us great memories when he has played over the years, this guy had one good game, I thinking was his debut?

Him, Barton and a few others have taken libs, bye!!
