We only have;
2 keepers - Green & McCarthy (1 needed)
5 defenders - Hill, Caulker, Onuoha, Suk-Young & Traore (at least 4 more needed)
8 Midfielders - Phillips (staying?), Henry (re-signing?),Hoillet, Fer (staying?), Sandro (???), Luongo, Gladwin & now Mackie (before departures 2 more needed)
2 Forwards - Austin (soon to go) & JET (3 needed)
A total squad of 17 (plus possibly the youngsters Greco-Cox, Doughty, Ehmer and Furlong)
That looks extremely, worryingly, thin!!!
Bear in mind the extra games in the Championship and no 25 man restriction boy do we need some extra resource!!!
At least 10 more players and pronto.(plus replacements for any further leavers)
This has all the hallmarks of another disaster and I am completely not taken in by the "new world" mantra. We have had 11 leavers so far and have recruited just 4. (if Mackie goes ahead) with bigger squads in the Championship we are woefully short of numbers and the season is 6/7 weeks away.
Please please lets not go into another season with just a couple of forwards, the successful clubs have at least 5 we surely can't fall into that trap again, can we?

really? pre season starts in just over 2 weeks and last minute.com doesn't work as we have proved time and again!
Just don't want us to fall into the same trap as previous seasons.
With only 4 in v 11 leavers and more expected to go the task to get a big enough (quality) squad at Rangers is the biggest challenge facing any team in the Champiuonship | | | |

Not everyone has got to sign almost an entire new squad!!!!
11 gone already and at least 3 (Austin, Phillips & Fer) almost certain to go and doubts about Henry and Sandro. Also need for a bigger squad for the Championship (at least 28) 3 more than last season
19/20 players in? More than any team in all 4 divisions by a long way!!!!

If Spurs sign Trippier from Burnley, giving them another RB adding to Walker, Dier, and Yedlin, I'd love to get Yedlin on a season long loan.. He looked the real deal for USA in the World Cup.. A bit raw still but proper decent..

They didn't have to work hard to get rid, try getting rid of overpaid players such as Onuoah, Toilet and Traore. We haven't made signings like Austin and Philips the type of players who will shine in this division and who you know will make the step up. Our defence is crap. |  | | |
