Watching it now on bbc4 some great stuff, a Ukranian group called Dakhabrakha.

1 bloke, 3 women, drums and a cello i think - really unique!

Load of shit. 26 hours stuck in motorways, mud everywhere and the reward? Adele, Coldplay and fking Muse. I'd rather travel to Syria on Virgin fking Trains.

If that's a dig at this year's line-up fair enough. It's poor. Thought arcade fire last year was the best set I've seen

Me and the sparks checked out the live feed yesterday, there was a blues/funk band on who were not bad.

I agree though a poor line-up this year.

I might youtube that Public enemy set from a few years ago they smashed it.

I haven't seen that. I'll check it out.
I thought the chemical brothers smashed it last year.

Occasional providers of half decent House music.

Tuned in last night and it was Muse, so you tubed the Specials gig from 2009.

Chemical Brothers 2011 also worth another watch via YouTube. Thought that was one of the best performances on any stage in recent years.

Wish I could be like David Watts

Would like to have seen more of Richard Hawley's set last night. Only showed two songs after showing an OTT yawn fest by Muse. Like to see what Squeeze and Madness have to offer today. Agree with some on here, it looks a bit of a dull line up. Perhaps one or two acts will spring a surprise and float my boat, but it won't be Adele or Coldplay that's a certainty.

Coldplay are really rubbish. Or definitely not above average.

Virgin Trains though. That's a tough one.

Just tolerated 2 songs by Adele.
Singing voice was ok, but her garbage mouth chatter and walking about, telling the crowd she stayed in last night with a Chinese meal watching Muse was cringeworthy. 'Oh my god' and f@ck every other word and then talking to the crowd as if it were a group of kids at school.
Struck me the set list was obviously a tad weak?

Adele is fking unlistenable. Alternating between horrid shouty singing and then her piss poor fake down to earth crowd work. Absolute shit.

Saw St Paul & The BB and they were very good, on in Brighton tomorrow but I'm seeing Chic in Fulham.

No other dates in the UK, which is a bugger

Watched Mbogwana Star's set - seriously good. Protoje's set is on tonight and will feature heavily on David Rodigan's 1Extra show.

Side note: Madness were without Chaz and were pretty bloody limp. They let CJ sing Highway To Hell FFS.

Quite enjoying ELO.
Just seeing the camera shots of the wet crowd who are trying to look like they are still 'on vibe' just makes me realise I never want to go there.

Good sets by Micheal Wanakarula, PJ Harvey and Earth Wind and Fire last night. For the latter I used to shrug them off as shite when I was younger, but as I get older I now appreciate their great musicianship and would happily listen to them. Love their Jazz funk tinted bass riffs.

I've only seen bits and pieces but PJ Harvey was very good - best clip I've seen from this year so far.

Noticed there's some proper muso's on here so I'm asking this question whilst totally out of my comfort zone... What exactly is wrong with Coldplay?

They get no end of stick yet their set last night seemed to have an awful lot of music fans bouncing up and down throughout at Glasto.

Genuine question, not having a dig at all, just need to know what my musically uneducated ear is missing.

Aside of that, who was the girl singing something about a Black Dahlia alongside the Terrahawk compere? Beautiful voice.

Chris Martin once quoted 'it's great to be in the most unpopular popular band around'. I liked their first single Clocks and still do, but anything thereafter, nothing. I guess for me it is the over hyped press they have received and the mainstreamness if there is such a word, of their music and following. Here is a band like so many before them, followed by legions of bandwagonners or lemmings who feel they have to like them, because everyone else does and Chris Evans says so, never mind the quality or lack of it of their musical creativity. Thus, Coldplay are the band to follow and nothing else matters. This is the same for U2 as well.
I also find most of their music just plain dreary, without wit, wisdom or punch and Martin's high pitched moaning voice too much to bear. But that's just my opinion. Others will have theirs I'm sure.

There aint half been some clever bastards.
