I used to really like the Saturday morning show he did with "Lofty" (real name escapes me!) on Radio 2. "It's round & it's white".

I thought I recognised his name.
That show was brilliant and like you say ahead of its time... I seem to remember it starting in the late 90's.

He's a Paddock sitting Bruce loving legend. I saw him in Chinatown a few months ago and almost gave it a U RSSS, but bottled it. I tweeted it to him and he was like "Oh man you should've! Would've totally brightened up my day!"
His piece about taking his son to QPR is one of the best pieces of football writing you will see. My wife read it and was "Oh, I get it now"
