Glasgow Rangers Views re Beale 08:28 - Dec 2 with 7073 viewsnumptydumpty

Had look on one of their forums and can't see their is one that is excited by Beale s appointment.

A few certainly mention the loyalty and integrity comments and others are against his comments stating if he and Gerrard had stayed they would have won the league that season and several mention the visit whilst Van Bronkhurst still in charge. And lot think better options out there.

Their fans are peed with the players not performing and it seems the Beale spin had the owners believing Beale could get a tune out of lot players already known to him.

I personally not like Beale and doubt his ability also but he has secured a three and a half year deal and clearly its an offer not to be sniffed at.

He does tend to waffle himself into a corner but I would say anyone who is new to a job and gets a three and half year contract which is a guaranteed payout whether he lasts the job or not, not one of us would turn it down.

I think he is also insecure about his abilities to do the job so the money side of it secures his families livelihoods which can understand

But yes safe to say Glasgow fans not greatly enamoured

It would be interesting to know the real reason he turned down Wolves, as the one given is now exposed as complete BS.

I suspect he knew GR would be calling some time soon.

I suspect he wasn't keen on only being able to use players signed by Mendes, who has complete control over the playing squad.

The grass is always greener.

I wondered if he thought Villa would come calling? But thinking on................

He wanted to fast track his way to a better job, so needed results.

Just before the Rangers debacle, I wondered on here if he was actually the right fit for us - could Pedder or Aoraha have had some game time instead of Tim? not doubting the latter's talent, but his lack of experience possibly means he wasn't what we needed - on the pitch, on our budget and with our need to bring on our own youngsters. Similarly, I like Balogun, but dropping Dunne or Dickie for him is retrospective in regard to our future. Bringing injury prone players in as we faced such a congested fixture list. Playing an injured Clarke-Salter at left back, leaving Ozzy and Nico on the bench. Bringing Willock back and playing him the full 90 when he didn't look comfortable. It looks like he was making short-term decisions, almost as if he had been told, 'Get out there, get some results, and I'll get you in'.

Postecoglu is a terrific coach Dave, I reckon he could give the Prem a good shake. The A League isn’t great for sure but his Brisbane Roar side played some lovely football as did Melbourne Victory occasionally. Personally I think it’s crazy that Graham Arnold is the Socceroo’s coach now.

Had to read that a couple of times, thought you were talking about the Orient!

Well Warburton ended up at Forest and then us after Rangers, no PL top jobs for him.

In fact I can't think of any SPL managers in recent years who have gone straight to a PL job - whether coming from the Old Firm or another club.

Good luck Micky!

Rodgers to Leicester but then again before bailing on Celtic he had been Liverpool's manager and Swansea, Reading and Watford manager before that, not a manager for five minutes like Bealeshitter.
