Wonderful piece of reffing 15:06 - Feb 26 with 2991 viewswelwynranger

The Blackburn keeper had the ball.
The ref approached him took the ball off him.
Then gave it back to him and ran away.
What was that about

Talk us through the shoe lace then Paul. Thought I was watching an u10 game there. And what about when he stopped us taking a free kick because three of their players were talking at him. Note, he wasn't talking to them, they were moaning at him. Why bring the ball back?

What about talking to Travis when he feigned injury at one of our corners to slow the game down (the one where Field tried to pick him up). We were shite, we lost in spite of him, but he was utterly inept with the simplistic little decisions.

Sorry.

Can we go out yet?

I was just replying to the drop ball question mate, not analysing his performance as a whole.

Ref stops the game for other than a fk then has to be a drop ball, not sure what the beef of the op was?

As for Travis, wound me and SJ up, which was obviously his intention.

Yes I thought stopping us take a free kick because Blackburn players were moaning at him was very poor, just move away from them and let us get on with it.

what about the shoe lace jujst 10 yards from the touch line.

Cant the ref grab the boot from his hand and place it outside the pitch?

Hang on, said player walks off with one boot off & goes down holding his foot.

This pisstacking will drive me away from football altogether, I have stopped watching live football(bar int tournaments) and qpr atm are hammering a further nail into that coffin

captains fantastic

The sport is becoming a joke and sometimes barely watchable as they’ve created a cheat’s charter . When did this nonsense start of play being stopped because someone chooses to sit down? Tough shit - just play on . Is it a directive to stop play or do refs do it as it’s become the norm? And the laces thing was pure farce . If a player needs his mum to dress him he should leave the field, not hold up play. Travis did a great Ben Pearson impersonation. How he avoided a card is a mystery- not least for the blatant dive right under the nose of the ref and lino. The legislators have no desire to eradicate this . It would be very simple: retrospective 3 match ban for cheating. Job done.

...and reading Clive's report, there was the other thing. Kakay sticking his arm up at the throw in - definite yellow for delaying the game, but the ball did not even get on the pitch and the decision? A free kick. Huh? He was inept. We were inept. A good match really...

I agree with this.

Carry on playing as I am sure players know when a serious incident has occurred i.e. broken bones, Ac. head injuries or a player collapsing . The others are often just waiting time or want a breather for themselves or teammates.

A retrospective ban for those caught feigning an injury would help stop this.

As for the quick free kick , he should have let the game carry on without those 3 being involved.

He also ignored fouls on QPR players then quickly awarded them free kicks when QPR challenged to win the ball back.

The cheating and acting that goes on in football these days is pathetic. And it doesn't help when the pundits on MOTD say things like "well there was contact so he had every right to go down"

NO he bloody doesn't, I've played football all my life and for me to hit the deck you need to clatter me good and proper, not brush the sleeve of my shirt FFS.

If they want to stop it they can do it in one foul swoop by retrospectively hitting any player blatantly cheating with a 5 match ban with his wages going to grass roots football.

Name and shame people like Harry Kane and Raheem Stirling for cheating don't flippin excuse them.

Been here since 1984. Now THAT is what you call punishment

I believe what he should have done is take the ball from the Blackburn keeper, kicked it in the net and said, 'they're not going to do this so I might as well.'

Never knowingly right.

If the ball was only above the players head, I think it had left his hands anyway, but even if above, its a fair guess a slither would be over/on the line - so a fk was fine.

If oppo did that to us, we would be annoyed that such stupidity wasn't a fk to us.

It DID happen to us earlier this season with a player already on a yellow. Guess what; the clown in charge of that particular sht show didn't give him a second yellow let alone a bloody free kick.

Standard inconsistency...
