Hi all and sorry this is my first post, but can anyone on here see us getting even just one more point this season?

I genuinely can’t.

It’s reached the point that I don’t know any football team in any league on this planet that this lot could beat.

I’ve already accepted that we will be in League One next season. Don’t know how the rest of you feel, but I can’t see anything but this outcome now.

This is going to be very tight and the points we gained earlier in the season might, just might get us over the line. BUT looking at the form of the other teams around us they are picking up points and we are not.

Huddersfield 5 points out of the last possible 24
Wigan 8 points out of the last possible 24
Blackpool 6 points out of the last possible 24
Cardiff 9 points out of the last possible 24
Birmingham 7 points out of the last possible 24
Rotherham 10 points out of the last possible 24
and
QPR 2 points out of the last possible 24

This is not looking good, the games against Blackpool, Wigan and Birmingham will define out=r season I feel.

I think we stay up, but that has more to do with what is below us (that stretch in Sept/Oct will have saved us). So long as we don’t lose all three of the Blackpool/Wigan/Birmingham games, I think Ainsworth will be able to pickup at least a few points and keep us above the others (call me naive after the last 3 months). But given our budget and the the clear mentality issues with this squad that NC himself called out that go back to last season, I don’t know how we can clear out what needs to go and bring in replacements for next year. I know I am getting ahead of myself, but looks like an impossible summer…

I agree, I mean it looks pretty awful right now - but with Chair and others coming back to fitness plus playing those teams in and around us I think we'll just about manage it. And I think Ainsworth is gradually improving our attacking play and we're looking more likely to score, just need to find a way to stop conceding so many goals.

Next season looks grim though unless we can find some cheap and decent new players.

To think that Shodipo would give us more of an attacking threat than that lot on Saturday.

As mentioned Masterson would be better than Dickie, Travelman would be better than Dickie!!!

This is all so sad

captains fantastic

That is grim reading.

It was a poor pre season transfer window that left the squad short on quality replacements for a number of positions. The fact that half of those signed permanently or on loan were injury prone made it all the worse. Responsibility for this can be put on the trecherous 'Ian' Beale , but I think it should be shouldered by the so called DoF. He should be the one deciding on which players to sign and how he could have thought signing players with a history of injury problems or not signing a centre forward backup for Dykes, a decent cover for Paal etc is beyond me.

I can only hope that the injured players will return to fitness within the next 2 weeks as the longer this run goes on the harder it will be to pick up another 6-10 points that will be needed to avoid L1 next season.

As for the summer transfer window and next season, the DoF needs to be gone and someone else to oversee it. Preferably someone like Warburton or perhaps an experienced DoF from Europe where they have been more common place than in the UK.

Joking aside it was actually on October 22nd, four and a half months ago, which is pretty staggering.
Being a season ticket holder this year has been a profoundly depressing experience.
Some have compared it to our relegation season from the first Division in 1969, after the two consecutive promotions which got us there. Maybe my memory is playing tricks after all these years but my memory of that season is that we created a lot of chances in many of the games that we lost and were unlucky not to get a result on a number of occasions.

I'm a season ticket holder. I've not been since we lost to Luton Dec 29th.

Simply cant be bothered with it anymore

What do the owners get out of all this?
(I don't buy the line that its because they love the fans, and its certainly not for the money)

What will they do if we are relegated?
