Given the recent history Cardiff have had, that's not the most sensitive of headlines.
However, the report was spot on. Cardiff were not a patch on Watford and nobody in the QPR ranks played badly. Before the pre season previews, we were all looking for 3 teams worse than us. We may have just played one of them.
I thought we looked the better side for 70 minutes. Once we replaced Armstrong and Smyth we lost our out ball and had no pace. There were plenty of others who looked done by the end. One must hope that fitness levels can be ramped up to the point that a 70 minute performance can be turned into a 100 minute one |  |

A guy called Declan Finnegan got Armstrongs shirt. He's a member of the Irish Rs Facebook group and travels over from Ireland for nearly every home and away game so very deserving of that shirt! | | | |

Great report as per! As I saw it and the same as probably everyone else is that we don't have the depth on the bench to make the changes to see the game through. Sadly we became worse for every sub that was made for those tired legs on the pitch. SDM would have been a better sub to bring on IMO.
Cardiff wouldn't have been the right game but it would be nice to see what Kolli and Aoraha might bring, hopefully at least some youth and enthusiasm. | | | |

I thought the first hour we were fantastic, best I've seen us play since that Cardiff home game last year. Loads of energy, good shape without the ball and excellent pressing especially both wing backs, Paal bullied Bowler out of the game, Smyth was so good everything I've always hoped he could be. Reminds me so much of Ainsworth as a player, just non stop work and effort
Once they scored it was a bit of a horror show but can't fault the effort and so much better than last week and most of last season. I really hope they build on this, for all the talk of improved fitness etc it was worrying to see so many players dead on their feet during the last 15 minutes |  | | |

I definitely think the new shape and way of playing caught them a little cold, but ultimately I think they just didn't expect to have to do anything but turn up. Tbf - you can't blame them impossible to assume we'd improve that much within a week with largely the same personnel.
I'm hoping teams continue assume that of us, at least until we get a chance to settle the squad and add some depth. |  |

The fitness thing is a worry. If 5 minutes get added to first halves and 10 minutes to second halves, we could find ourselves dead on our feet with half an hour still to play. The EFL leagues may get determined by the fittest teams rather than sides with the best players.
Watching Newcastle demolish Villa, it was noticeable how much fitter they looked than us and seemed to get more energetic the longer it went on. Whilst Newcastle have better footballers, our players should at least be as fit as them in the professional game. |  | | |
