Have we sung "He's one of our own..." for Ozzy? He really is one of our own and a really great lad.

No.... Many were questioning whether or not he should even be a footballer last season

I think we should sing that, hes not amazing, but he works hard and shows you can make the first team with a proper attitude.

Remember when managers were picking Todd Kane ahead of him (he is not any better as footballer even in pure football terms), then Todd Kane slagging him off publicly. All the time Ozzy Kept it professional and got on with the job. Even played LB a few times which he could not play to help out the team.

Where is Todd Kane now at 29 so, the so-called prime of his career? Without club.

Kakay is 26, an international, playing in the Championship, has over 100 pro appearances, double figures in appearances for his country and I think he has now captained them. Been with us since the age of 8 I think.

If that is not one of our own, then I dunno what is!

zzzzzzzzzz

I'd love him to get a bit more love from the fans. He's not the perfect player but he's got a lot of positive qualities and he clearly works hard because he's improved a fair bit in the last couple of years. His crossing, for instance, is much better.

Watching Ryan Manning running a few paces behind the goal scorer a couple of times in the Leicester- Southampton game yesterday, most defenders make mistakes. He just seems to get called out a lot more for his. Also as I've said before he tends to get less cover on his side than the equivalent player on the left side, just because of the set up of the rest of the team.

Mind you I've seen Darnell Furlong be screamed at ten minutes in to get off the pitch/you're useless etc by some fans early in his career, so we have form for this, and he ended up playing in the Premier League. Not saying Ossie is that level, but still...

I was a great fan of Darnell, but watching his performances for West Brom these days, I pose the question of whether Ozzy has overtaken him as a player & defender?

Of course he makes mistakes, but who was the last player we had that didn't?

I haven't seen WBA play for a while. Have his performances deteriorated Terry? I do think he doesn't look very happy playing for them. He never seemed to smile playing the last time I saw him play. Also a lot more cynical than when he played for us.

I agree everyone makes mistakes. Cook for instance made a bad one recently. It's unfortunate when it leads to a goal, which Cook's one and Colback's one didn't so it doesn't seem so noticeable.

I say this repeatedly about Ozzy and QPR…is he a world-beater? Certainly not. But for a team under the financial pressures that QPR face, it is critical to have players like Ozzy (and Dom Ball previously I believed) that are on modest wages that can provide adequate cover in multiple positions. No one will disagree that we could use a proper first team RB. But given our personnel, I think playing with a back 3 is our best formation, and Ozzy has played his best at RCB. Fingers crossed Smyth can play 40 more games at RWB…

Question is, once all the CBs are fit, what is the optimal lineup? On paper Dunne, Cook, JCS is the answer I think, but I wonder if Ozzy’s pace is needed to pair with Cook or Dunne in the middle.

Never gives less than 100% every game.
Continues to improve. Huge fan of Ozzy.
