We know all the issues, we know the problems, we know what is and isn't working.
All of that, though, is irrelevant. It's a great KO time. Get together early. Have one or two drinks. Then get to the ground and we as fans need to put everything into it. We can create that atmosphere and transfer it to the players and help them put everything on the line.
There's a lot of stuff about the fragility and so on about this team, but, one or two games apart, they have been pretty mid-table decent for the last 4 months or so. They're decent lads. We can do this, but we need to do it together. Bloke behind me who moans throughout the whole game, put it away for one b'stard match. Let's blow Preston away with our noise. Let's push them on, like in the WBA game, and we can do this and put this bloody season to bed. No recriminations, no arguments. JUST NOISE. |  |

Strangely agree with both yourself and awful lot of what Stainrods Elbow says too in that last post which is slightly contradicting of myself . Last night I was mostly in Elbows camp, but reading the OG post of this thread was how I was starting to feel today .
We do need to get right behind them. Perhaps this team hasn’t fully deserved the incredible support they have got this season but we as fans need to go again for 2 huge home games . The support v West Brom was incredible but the worry is we still didn’t win that game . Plus the following Middlesbrough game the support was poor along with the performance.
What was worrying yesterday was the boos that I heard from R’s fans after that horrendous Dykes cross towards the end of the second half . Was that in general disgust or towards Dykes in particular?
Dont blame the fans for either reaction yesterday but we have to park that now.
Give our all as fans on Saturday and see what happens .
Might just help get us the win .

Not sure about Huddersfield but SW are playing at an elevated level and only for late goals against would have won 3 straight .I can see why Clive mentioned in his preview that Sunderland are looking at their manager if he has instilled that much belief in them

Just realised how long ago that is.

My instinct is to agree with the OP.
However given the cost of my travel to London, plus a few beers and the season tkt cost I do think I am allowed to express a view when someone is inept.
These players actually work at the job for less than 80 hours in a season. The rest of the time they practice and plan what they intend to do during their limited performance time.
So, when a goalkeeper let's a cross through his hands tk gift an equaliser to one of our closest opponents, or time and time again a corner kick fails to clear the first defender time after time, or the most technically inept forward is given the ball to take and miss a hugely important spot kick. Or a goal down in injury time and we still take 15 passes to cross the half way line.
I think it's difficult not to express disappointment in the immediate aftermath of those incidents.
Having supported our club for in excess of 60 years disappointment almost comes naturally . | | | |

I do not mind bring colours and make noise I mean WE Have Been Here BEFORE! Almost used to it , big games crucial six pointers , a final . Most importantly it what our team does and hope we get a fair ref, one thing we can’t control another 5-hit ref and there are too many of them . I dont know what happened i wrote the text and sent it.
So here i go again.
A word of caution.
I posted a similar motivational text the day before the first game of the season at Watford. Due to the vitriolic comments about the manager and the abysmal pre season games.
I asked the fans to go to Watford ,let them and our players know that we are there getting fully behind the team.and the manager..
Also give Gareth about 10 games to find out which is his best team and formation.
Because we as Rs fans are like a family that needs to pull together in adversity.
I could hear the Rs fans from outside and was delighted everbody seemed to be pulling together.
