Think I've replied to a post on this of yours on here before - but it remains on my reading list!
Re Existentialism, I have a friend who is a massive advocate for properly understanding it, and related, phenomenology. I've tried to read the books, and I can kind of see it, but for my deterministic brain it's like trying to staple jelly to a moving wall, while wearing oven gloves. I think I've pinned a bit of it down, but then the weight of its own wobbliness makes it slide off, leaving me feeling stupid holding a stapler and wondering if the jelly was ever actually there to begin with.
And have it on good authority it's worse than childbirth, a great card to play when the moment is right.
Likewise . Get well soon Hooping.
Indescribable pain. Within 10 mins of arriving at A&E and pleading with them to see me immediately (which they did ) a nurse did her thing with a suppository and I was ok . 😀
Made me very wary of that ever happening again though as I still have one. Excruciating

I got threatened with the suppository, in the end they brought out the oral morphine.
It's nearly a week later and can't believe how sick I still am. Never drank so much water in my life.
Not a bucket list experience that's for sure.
Good luck with yours Mart.

What i don't get is how humanity allowed working to become a concept we live to.
At all times in history there is someone who wants power and control over his fellow man.
How and why did it come to this?
Any questions about human behaviour, always start off by going back to our origins and how our actions relate to our needs to find food, shelter, protect ourselves first.
Why we then allowed ourselves to be ruled by empires, countries and governments which feel the need to subjugate subjects I have never really understood but I think it is because after we realised that we could go beyond meeting our needs we decided that we wanted to become the dominant species.
