HUGHES & WILKINS 11:29 - Jan 9 with 3004 viewsgazza1

I would be quite pleased if TF announces Hughes as No1 & Wilkins as our Assistant.

Think Hughes has got the ticks in the right boxes and Wilkins plays the type of football that is good for me - he knows the game as well. Both are well respected around the world too.

Two proper ex players, 2 well know personal in football.

Wilkins wtf? Seriously you are either to young to remember his shocking management or you are just too old and have lost all your marbles.

Hughes I will back but let the man pick his own no2 I mean ffs I wouldn't wish him on any manager. Manages to fu ck me off with his bulls hit views on Sky sports.

How about I come in and call the players by there 1st names oh and 'there smashing lads' and save Tony the money.

Also to add to my above post, we have just lost a man that has done a terrific amount for this football club and I find it quite offensive with Ray Wilkins being mentioned. I back Tony's decision but with regards to Wilkins he should be remember just as a brilliant footballer and I am quite upset and disappointed your lack of knowledge has asked for wilkins to be part of the staffing set up.

On Wilkins, whereas I don't see him as a manager, saying he was a bib picker upper at Chelsea simply isn't true. One thing the guy can do is bring on young players and motivate senior players. I wanted him in to assist Warnock but perhaps he'll get a chance under whoever comes in.

Who did he bring on last time he was here? He motivated senior players here to relegation.

It looks like a done deal that Hughes is on and personally, I think he ticks the boxes for us.

Not sure about Wilkins but more importantly, I don't think we can afford any more disruption so Hughes has to come with his own team and choice of coaches. Guys he is comfortable working with
