One day someone will sign him and play him consistently on the left wing where he will do really well. He lacks football intelligence but if you give him the mandate to push it past the full back and cross the ball, he will create a lot. Still probably the best crosser we have. I'm not quite so sure Traore's focus is right, he needs to be trying to prove a point to the staff, but I see someone who is too carefree to the point it looks like he doesn't care. I hope I'm wrong, but that's my impression just by his football alone.
Some players just give off a vibe that tells its story. You could see it with Faurlin as well, but he was desperately trying to impress and do what he could to play well, and you could almost see the pain and anguish on his face when he had a poor match.
For Traore, he needs to really knuckle down, because if he can't win a place in a Championship side, then his career is going to stall badly and he'll be staring down the barrel before he knows it. He's at the sort of age that he really needs to play every week, as there's a lot of improvement needed in his game that ought to be achieved through playing experience. Actually disagree there Neil. I thought the prob on saturday was that he was trying too hard! Desperate to do as he was told and overlap and get some crosses in, he tried too hard, rushed into things, and messed it up. Personally, I like him.
I wonder if anyone's ever thought of trying him in centre midfield. Crazy idea, probably nonsense, but with his build (the man is huge), pace and skill... hmmm... |  |
