No choice whatsoever ..... Same as many who consider themselves oppressed so I assume you're in favour of them using violence

You can believe the weeping media fest, millions will follow suit

Anyway I'm not getting into a political or moral one on this

Seemed to exhibit considerable dignity considering what he went through. Unfortunately those running the country now are a bunch of crooks lining their own pockets. Mandela would have wanted to leave a better legacy.

Right up until his release blacks were treated like stray animals in South Africa, he was a peacefull campaigner until he witnessed 60+ students shot down in cold blood, of course people will rebel against that sort of treatment, he went to hell and back and came out of it with more dignity than any other politician that's walked this planet. He brought a split nation together. RIP Nelson.

I suppose it hinges on whether you believe that some causes justify terrorism and violence.

Adams and Mcguinness are politicians now after all .

people do good and bad stuff in their lives and Mandela is no different.

But it's all about how much the good outweighs the bad, and he did a lot of good.

If he was a terrorist then so was every Frenchman who joined the resistance to try and stop oppression.

Maybe but try telling that to the children who's parents he slaughtered.
The man definately done plenty to be proud of but i wonder how he ever forgave himself for the blood on his hands.
The facts are there to see,he was responsible for the death of many innocent civilians.
Jerry Adams is also seen as a great man to some but he doesn't fit the bullshit agenda so never gets the same positive media coverage.
I just cannot respect anyone who's willing to murder innocent people for their own end no matter what the situation.

Really don't know what to say about this one. A 95yr old has died (good age, especially after all the prison and beatings). I remember when Margret Thatcher and people sad 'good, rot in hell' which I found a bit sad. Whatever peoples views are on this, he was a great man for what he did however there will always be skeletons in his closet, (that's not a pun).

Well the wrangling over the will will be a dignified spectacle.
I suppose the lineup for the inevitable tribute concert will be full of the same sad old faces.

Poll: So how was the season for you?

It must have taken you an age to think that one up.
You should be a comedian, with material like that you're wasted.

“We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, handsome, talented and fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be?”
― Nelson Mandela

The most inspirational human being of my lifetime. He was a Giant, and a force for positivity. His conversion to pacifism and humanism has been an inspiration for all those who believe in humanity and who refuse to believe in evil as an entity in itself.

I would recommend his autobiography to anyone who hasn't read it.

Amandla! Ngawethu!
