Rangers were hard up in the 3rd division and had a Spanish centreforward (Fran Sandaza) on relatively big money, strangely someone phoned him up and pretended to be an agent or the like and recorded him slagging off Rangers, the tape hits the news and heis sacked for gross misconduct....

I wonder, having the probable answer in mind, wether Barton looks back at his time with QPR and comes to the conclusion that he had it alright here.

Yep, the mentality of the players wasn't right. Not the right place for a player of such calibre. Has had loads of offers from other clubs. Thought he could improve the club but not prepared to lower his standards. |  | | |
