According to wiki he is 29. Genuinely thought he was in his 30s when we signed him!

Triffik player, him and Krankjar together in the middle would be a class double act. Said some bloke hanging out of his car window.

His age was a standing joke behind the scenes when he was here. Conservative estimates were early 30s and his documentation was all over the place - resulting in him not being able to get back in the country after that summer trip to Brazil. He also had a membership at a Virgin gym near where he lived and was the only one on their database without a date of birth listed. Great agent though.

Another one, like Barton, that some stayed weirdly attached to right to the end despite being a waste of skin.

Hello.

Barton was a good player... but a t**t.

Sandro looked like his knees were set in concrete... but he was a decent bloke.

Skin wasted in different ways.

Has anyone else noticed the Sando look-a-like who sits in the lower loft on the Ellerslie Road aide of the goal with his child?

Agree with everything except the good player part. He was absolute garbage.

Yes I do miss every single one of our set pieces being remorselessly booted straight at the nearest opponent.

Had high hopes for Sandro when he signed. Always seemed a likeable character and looked decent when i saw him play for spurs. The Spurs fans loved him.
Injuries took its toll. I dont think he had working knees when he signed for us and continues to blag his way round clubs it seems. My gut feeling is Redknap knew how bad his injuries were but got him a job here anyway. For a percentage of course. Despite his questionable age and fitness i thought he was a decent player. When he played.

Yeah I'll stand by it definitely. He was absolutely instrumental the year we went up. Calm on the ball, good touch, nice short passing game, some eye for creative moments and even some goals. He played a big part in some key moments - often driving team on for a result. Bolton away is one of several that stand out.

He got an England cap and played for Marseille - plus he was Burnley's POTY when they went up - so clearly he's rated by others too. It's not just me.

I think the general dislike for him as a human being, which I totally agree about, badly clouds people's assessment of him as a footballer. He was a pretty accomplished midfielder at our level.

There were games when his tackling and policing of the midfield was excellent, but as Northern says, his set pieces were well below average for our level. When he stuck to the basics, he could be a superb defensive midfielder, but there was always a good chance of him getting sent off. His sendings off cost us points every season.

I don't miss him at all.

I don't get this bad knee stuff.

I finished a game with a dislocated knee and ran a 10K with a torn meniscus (only because I was running for Cancer)

Bolton away stood out?? The one I remember, when Hills goal wasn't given, he was at fault with Boltons winner.

The game he really stood out was Liverpool at home, 2 nil down on 77 minutes. THE worse performance by a QPR player I have ever seen and I witnessed Gus Caesar. Taken off and rightly so. We won 3-2 without him. So he went online and slagged the fan base off. Ive never known that to ever happen.
