It is going to be an interesting summer if a) we don't go up and b) Eze goes to Newcastle because if he does for the fee that is reported (c£40m), that'd be £4-5m in the coffers. Would that, and the promise of another promotion battle be enough to keep Willock and Chair and even maybe reward them with a new contract?
If not, I suspect that we could lose Dickie or Dieng for a few million before we have to look to sell Chair or Willock.
Of course, this formation needs strikers and wingbacks - we need better strikers than we have and we're going to need younger versions of Adomah and Wallace moving forward.
Or we just go up and not have those worries... |  |

On the assumption we don’t go up which obviously changes everything, I can’t see a chance in hell Illy and Willy both stay. I reckon one of them (prob Willock) plus Dickie (young, English) are likely to go. If it’s Chair he looks more likely to go to a decent European team imo simply for the diddy stature.
It’s a prospect that would once have filled me with dread but the management have earned some trust they’d use any funds well.

Just like we were losing our top players in January? Dickie. Dieng and Chair are not good enough yet for the Prem and can't see them going to another Championship side unless they get a good pay rise. Willock, on the other hand, could play for a lower Prem club. |  | | |
