Just had a pop up logging into this site saying 'your password used here has been found as part of a data leak'

More 3rd party crap or substance?

There is a feature on the latest Google Chrome updates that if your user credentials for a website have been leaked somewhere on the internet/dark web, Google somehow know about it and if you use those same credentials for another website then a warning message will pop up telling you those details have been exposed and you should change your password on that website.

I get it a few times now when I log in to some sites from somewhere where my data has been nicked. Always change the password for those sites now when I get that message.

Here is an independent website where you can check to see if your email address has been subject to a data breach:
https://haveibeenpwned.com

You can check any URL (web address) to see if it is safe using this independent website:

If you store your passwords on google you can ask them to check them, it tells you which ones you have repeated, which ones are believed to be known in some form, and which ones could be more secure. It's worth doing IMO.

Very interesting.

I've got a fair few email addresses and only 2 have had a breach funnily enough the same one.
711 million email addresses. Nothing posted on the darkweb so that's good !

Thanks for that
