Annoyed to have to miss this one so great to read this report as someone that only saw highlights - a reminder of what made me a fan in the first place whilst stuck down in Devon and why these reports are so bloody good and really important to ex-pats and those that don't get to watch many games. Danke.
Obvs ratings are the bane of your existence but was very keen to hear how both Dozzell and Thomas were, after their hooking at the weekend, and also the little cameos from youth I haven't seen before like Alfa. It's hard to know in 15-20min bursts but sometimes you can see a player has something or has met the occasion well, thought that about Duke McKenna in pre-season and good to see he made another impact here.
Thomas I'd like to be proven wrong about and a sustained run with full availability will help him, but in comparison to someone like Willock who was gradually and carefully introduced last season in bits and pieces before making full starts, I just don't see the glimpses of anything that could be special. I love that he's always running, and he makes selfless runs too, which is important, but when he has the ball things don't really happen... Hopefully this will all come and if anyone can get him there, it's Warburton. Dozzell I'm much more confident about - more belief and experience at this level and he'll be good.
Dunne also looks the real deal btw, like one of those unheralded loans that drop down 2 divisions and win POTY. His time at Burnley - with their incredible CB production line that makes some of the best head it, kick it merchants in football - has given him an obvious hard on for good honest defending. He's not only very good but he's perfect foil for Dickie and Barbet... He might turn out to be the most underrated bit of business we'll do this summer. |  |

I wanted to go to this one but tried to get a ticket last Friday and was only singles and doubles left in covered bits of the lower loft and after trying again on Sunday and Monday I gave up on it. I've got a cold anyway so that didn't help.

yeah i didn't think they had sold that many but needed 4 tickets together. I have season tickets there and can't buy just one adult ticket for a mate. It has to be for an adult + an under 18.
In years gone by when I wanted to join mates down there, I'd get a ticket for the upper loft then wait for them to tell me there was a spare seat near them and just go down the stairs to join them. |  |
