The way Liverpool play is that their fullbacks will step into midifeld often leading just the two centre backs and Joe Allen in front of them, this gave them against our 4-4-2 a constant overload. We should have started with a midfield three today and a front three with Taarabt hugging one wing and Mackie the other, if Faurlin had then played instead of SWP we could have swept in behind them with ease. We also needed to play a higher line and this despite their heroics is the real problem in playing Nelson and Hill together | | | |
