From memory Masterson was on the verge of first team at Liverpool before he got injured last year, he was playing in the same team as Trent Arnold prior to Arnold breaking into the first team. Klopp spoke very highly of Masterson, think it was just unfortunate timing of his injury and the strength Liverpool have currently in that area that led to him being realised. Have seen him playing in the Ireland underage teams and he if definitely one of the better players in a competitive team. Think Ball has been signed as a player to cover mainly full back 4 Leister, Barbet, Hall & Masterson will be the 4 centre backs within Wallace, Furlong & Ball (Rangel?) as the full back options.

Rangers stalwart Wallace heads for Loftus Road - Signing

Think we have made a good move, need some experience amongst a potentially youthful back 4 next season. Whilst Bidwell was a good servant to the club I think Wallace is a better option in the short term.

It happened at Priory Road by the QPR buses.
Sadly it was definitely a QPR fan, happened after a small scuffle.
Absolutely disgusting!

Everton mate of mine that was at the game said it was a 19 year old Everton fan and it happened after the match.

If we beat Wigan on Sunday then everything changes again.

Win our next two home games and pick up a result against Reading and our two home games at the start of of May will be huge.

We are obviously relying on results to go our way now but it isn't entirely inconceivable. We won 4 of our final 7 before the City game last year and that was against 2 of the top 4, this year we have 3 of the bottom 6 at home plus the bottom team away.....

The Europa Cup final is on 3 days after we play Newcastle hopefully they are safe by this point and in the final, if we have any chance at that point it could be a huge stroke of luck....

Obviously if we don't win Sunday the next 3 games will probably be ilrelevant however if we were to pick up 6 points from the next 9 given the fixtures coming up for everyone around us I think we are still in this.

Sunderland have Chelsea & Newcastle away and Everton at home.
Villa have Stoke and United away and Fulham at home.
Wigan are away to us, City and West Ham.

I can see Sunderland and Villa possibly getting 3 points but can't see Wigan getting anything.

This would put us 1 point behind Wigan, 4 behind Villa and 5 behind Sunderland going into the Reading game and Villa play Sunderland that weekend.

Can't understand why a club, with 7 games to play, would sack a manager with years of Premier League experience and appoint a manager who has never manged above League 1.

The weekend of 27th April will be huge. We play Reading and Sunderland play Villa. Think realistically that could be the first time we pull out of the bottom 3.

I don't think for a second that Fulham will be bottom 3 but I also can't see then achieving much more than 40 points this season.

Sunderland's next 3 fixtures are against Chelsea, Newcastle and Everton and they now have a manager that has never managed in the Prem League before, add to that the fact their captain and striker are both out for the season, if we get 2 wins and a draw, which isn't unrealistic, from next 4 games we are a point behind Sunderland going into the Reading game.

Has anyone done the bbc predictor? QPR bias obvious however I had it the bottom five as:

QPR 39
Fulham 39
Wigan 36
Villa 35
Reading 26

Wins against Fulham, Wigan, Stoke, Newcastle, Reading and a draw with Everton.

Bar Reading at home Fulhams run in is really tough. I can see them ending up right down there.
