Somebody needs to start measuring quite a few people up for their overcoats. Amazing result.

Congratulations from Charlton
at 09:47 6 May 2018

Got to say i’ve always liked Charlton since our FA cup game against them a few years back. Their fans were a decent bunch then. No big club attitude and decent fans. Today hasn’t changed my opinion at all, met a few oitside the ground who congratulated us on staying up and were decent lads. Good luck to them in the play offs.

I understand that the £50 is a gamble and a toughy to decide about but my issue with the people who are saying that the £50 deposit should be converted to 5 games or whatever should we fail to sell 4000 is that I suspect that a lot of people would suddenly say ohh i can't afford it, give me my 5 games and i'm happy.

It's only cost effective to sell at the reduced prices at above the 2000 mark if we sell that many and everybody pays? Not well we've only sold 2500 so i now can't afford the rest of the bill so i'll take my 5 games for £50 and be happy.

If all of a sudden 1000 of the 2500 did that it would be a big hit.

Think it's a great initiative and really hope it works. Watching Russ's interview on You Tube i'm a lot more confident. He seems to be very positive it's achievable. Also mentioned the under 11s which is now a £10 membership of junior dale which gets you a goodie bag, stationary set, season ticket, scarf as well as other goodies and newsletters. Think this is a fantastic iniative and deserves a lot of credit. Possibly the best part of this offer. Very keen to point out no admin fee :)

If the sky sports cameras are there probably until about 10:58pm where he'll be shown rushing through Brum in a Range Rover to ensure he can sign before the deadline....

No they don't it's all private companies. On Yorkshire street the council own squat that's why it's dead. Big companies own most of the buildings through shell companies etc etc, and don't care two hoots if the buildings are inhabited or not. I heard the same about McDonalds apparently the landlord wanted a 20 year lease at double the existing rate. McDonalds quite rightly told him to F~ off.

Yes , before they were just tenants of J.W.Lees. They paid rent to lees for the building, The club bought the pub lock, stock and barrel off Lees some months ago so it's now fully owned by the club including the freehold.

In my opinion buying the Stadium is essential. Our crowds are, always have been and always will be woeful. Off the field revenue provided by a properly run stadium with events, functions, conferences etc is essential. Unfortunately off the field revenue is something that in general we're crap at.

Good message though and good to see some communication. Merry Christmas to Mr D and all Dale fans in general... :)

Guess that makes sense from a financial point of view but I for one won't be going now. Hate sitting down at football matches. Tried it a couple of times last season and really not a fan. Totally understand the reasons though.

Excellent post , it's been going on for years though. Did you know the council still have around 15/20 years (I forget the exact dates) of payments to make for the black box. Thats right we're still paying through the nose for a building that's been demolished and turned into a car park and we wonder why there's no money. Nobody is accountable...... Past governments/councils have done it, this one has done it, future ones will do it.
