Why would he come out and say "I want to thanks the fans, club and staff etc" when he is still our player. He is there on loan for the season, with a view to a permanent move next summer. Only then would he have moved clubs.
If he gets injured couple months in then Napoli will send him back in a flash. (unless there are terms agreed for this in the loan agreement)

Excellent 1st season, but imo he was a player playing for his own ego and not a team player.
When things were going well great when things started to go badly he went hiding..
Shame that it looks like it ends this way, but just as other players leave we move on.

Considering the audience that statement was aimed at, I see nothing out of order or disrespectful to Swansea in what he said. He's not obligated to doff his cap to us. We either want him back as he was in his first season with us, or sold on for the highest amount we can get for him. We certainly don't want an injury prone sulky 'mare in our squad. |
Yeah, I don't really feel the need for him to mention us too much when attempting to gain favour at his new club. I suppose there is a little piece of me, call it spite, that would like him to have a relatively poor season though. |  |
