The jury of 7 women and 5 men were blocked from hearing Evans' partner directly contacted a key witness, trying to get him to think of things that could clear Ched whilst also mentioning a 50k reward.
The jury of 7 women and 5 men were also blocked from hearing that the "new" witness statements in 2015 were materially different from the statements both made in 2011 - neither of which mentioned language the woman used during sex, which became a key factor as to consent having been gained.
The prosecution were hamstrung in cross-examining those statements as they could not point out the discrepencies - nor could they use Massey's approach to the witness to show the narrative that destroyed the credibility of those "new" witness statements. |

The "new" witness statements were changed to be more beneficial to Ched's "new" defence of the language used yet the jury never heard that.
The jury never heard of Massey attempting to influence a key prosecution witness to change their story.
