Can't wait for Saturday, in spite of the long drive.
Siggy...a brace of....goals.
Jonjo...a brace of....yellows...or even a straight red.
2-3 Swans (Alberto to get our 3rd).

I think we will win this one. Taking the binoculars as we are up in the Gods.

Swansea Indepenent Poster Of The Year 2021. Dr P / Mart66 / Roathie / Parlay / E20/ Duffle was 2nd, but he is deluded and thinks in his little twisted brain that he won. Poor sod. We let him win this year, as he has cried for a whole year. His 14 usernames, bless his cotton socks.

If they wanted Jonjo Shelvey then that was what it evidently took to get him.

Anyone who'd watched him play over the last year knew he was shit (so less than half of Swans fans) but that's beside the point. He isn't worth £12m, he isn't worth £80k a week, but he might actually be worth £80k a week if he gets them out of the Championship. That wage will keep him there (also the lack of interest from PL teams).

An agent is only going to agree to a 50% relegation pay cut if it's unlikely to actually happen. Newcastle were in serious danger so they made sure the wage was guaranteed.

Newcastle are a badly run club that makes stupid decisions, but the lack of a relegation clause isn't especially stupid in itself.

That's my point, a relegation clause IS essential & Newcastle ARE stupid not to insist on one....and they're not the only ones who are stupid....if you get my drift

Totally agree,

Reading their forums they are deluded and clueless.

Screaming for money to be spent when it is Mike Ashley is still to blame.

McLaren totally abused,Rafa takes over and performance gets worse
it's then the players fault.

Pardew hounded out goes to Palace and with far less resources
totally out performs Newcastle including slamming them 5-1 I would
love it if he sent them down in a couple of weeks.

As bad as QPR with more supporters due to the fact they think they are due a football team.

Let's not forget the threats and abuse Shearer used to get when he went there as a Southampton player.

Oh and then all of a sudden he is a Geordie again, but then that's about right when you consider the thick head took them down.

Fcking stripey racist cnts, hate em.

As been noted, JJS plays shit for a couple of games then has blinder/decent game, then back to average/awful.
here's a thought he has been woeful for the last couple of games, statistically does that mean he is due a good this week?
F**k I hope not!

What player in their right mind would agree to giving up half that money? Shelvey's agent had them over a barrel.

Sort of had us over a barrel as well.
No way could we have risked a dickhead like Shelvey and his attitude anywhere near the club.
I just wish some others with the right attitude had the talent Shelvey has. Very embarrassingly unprofessional person with a wasted career.
Trouble is Charlton, Liverpool, Swansea and now Newcastle have given reports on his stinking attitude, some other club will still pay him stupid money to do the same to them.
And that's a very sad indictment of modern football

Edit.
Swansea to win 3-1
JJS to be sent off after Siggy and Ash have wound him up
Janmaat to be off as well after Jeff torches him twice.

Safe travels to all going up (down/ across etc)

A little more risk on the weekly wage...WTF
£80,000 x 52 weeks x 5.5 year contract = £23 million.
It would have been financially prudent to at least half his wages if relegated.
Why the hell do you think Leeds Utd crapped out, eh? FFS.

There will be relegation clauses in the contracts. Ashley is not that stupid.

Paloschi will have a clause in his contract should we go down. That said I'd imagine every player we have has the said clause.

The wage we were reported to be offering him was extremely low, barely any more than he was on at Chievo (player wages are public in Italy). Don't see him agreeing a relegation clause to go from a safe club to a threatened one.

Unless football leaks gets hold of the paperwork we'll never know for certain, though.

Almost all of our squad will have relegation clauses, but contracts are heavily influenced by timing and circumstance. January signings are always odd (look at Cork, we got a great deal there).

There are a lost of similaries between the 'Toon' and our cousins up the the road, deluded and living in the past I,e 1927,Real Madrid game and Tosh scoring a shed load of goals before buggering off to Liverpool, with Noocastle it is a massive club which should be winning everything in sight and then dwelling on the past with their worshipping of 'Wor Jackie, The Fairs cup,Supermac, Sir Bobby and Alan Shearer!

Janmaat will miss out of his anticipated rematch with Montero - ruled out after fighting a wall.

No update available yet on how the wall is doing.
