The only question is whether or not someone else will pay abo£20m or more for him.

I think, in this market, West Ham might.

We won't buy back Bony back at £16 million for a 28 year old, no resale value. Our policy is to buy potential and move them on for hopefully a bigger fee.

Even when you know, you never know?

A 28 year old who could play for the next six years at least and get us about 20 goals a season ?
No - no value there at all
Everything isn't about "buy small, sell big".
Quite a few players have made us a financial loss but have made a good contribution during their time here

I'd love it if he came back. And £16 m would be great value. We spent £12 m on a gamble when we bought him so 16 now would be great. I doubt it will happen though.

Inform me if i am wrong(i am sure Darren will) but dont Man City still owe us about 8M for Bony.

Think if they can shift out Ki,Gomis and what we got for Eder then that would be about 15-18M so i think its quite possible that we could get the Bony deal done.

Fingers crossed it's not going to happen, because I think it could well be a disastrous move for us. Let West Ham have him - please.

Andre Ayew is better than Bony.
Different sort of player but Bony is almost over the hill.
He is no Bob Latchford.

buy potential erm......... Bafetime Goalmiss? We were offered Vardy for £350k it is one of the reasons that money is tighter here, we came away from that model!

The prem league is all about scoring goals,Bony will do that for us no problem. if we sign him and keep siggy we are more or less ensuring safety and another £100m . Paying £16m then seems like a drop in the ocean.

If it means offloading Ayew and Gomis to make it happen so be it but I have a feeling if Wilf fancies it then Ayew may stay on too unless a top club comes in.

Ayew and siggy playing off Wilf could be a bit special IMO.

He is a muppet the way the whole take over saga was/is being handled.

The mess we found ourselves in last season was partly down to him and the board. Instead of building on a hugely successful previous season with some good signings they went shopping in the bargain basement again. How can you not replace a £28 million striker still baffles me to this day.

So do you think being in talks with them for over 6 months and not mentioning it to the trust was ok?

How about the fact we've been in the premiere league for over half a decade and we've still got one of the smallest grounds not only in the that league and almost the championship.
