enjoying the pressing side of our game when it was working, seemed to deter towards the end of the half.
i'm really really really not enjoying hoofing the ball up to llorente everytime our centre backs get the ball, thought there was more to our team than that.
think we're lucky to be going in 1-1 at half time, but can see us nicking it. Barrow needs to sort his game out today, maybe nervous? can't seem to control the ball. Routledge doing good, siggy looking to pull the strings. Ki/Fer need to be doing a bit more for me.

Ki, as always, is the best midfielder in this squad at linking the ball from our defence to an attacking position.
However he is useless at tracking runners through the midfield. As is Leroy Fer. There's only room for one of them in that midfield. Personally I'd leave Ki on and take Fer off.
Neil Taylor is just astoundingly bad and it is puzzling how he is still starting for us in the Premier League six seasons after being promoted. Absolutely crazy. Then I see Rangel on the right and just laugh. How could Jenkins look over this squad in August and deem it strong enough to start the season. |  |

What a strange half. We've looked good at times and utterly useless on others. They've hit the post three times, but id say there was only one occasion (arnautovic round keeper) where he should have scored. Adam 2 were very close sighters.
It has, however, been utterly pedestrian in possession from both teams.

Ki is regaining his confidence and showing his class. He can send a defence the wrong way by pirouetting on the ball and then surging into the space that he's made. Excellent half for Ki. Routledge also has had a great half, and Taylor has also played well. All much maligned but showing what they can do. Let's stop carping eh lads?

They are running a lot. Oliver's given us f*ck all too. Every chance they've had has been a gift from us. Tighten up and we'll win this easy. Oh and Barrow has been shite. You can't expect consistent genius from young players.
