| Jim Ratcliffe 17:23 - Feb 12 with 3046 views | Heisenberg | So one of the richest men in the UK and owner of Man Utd says the UK can’t afford its benefits bill whilst simultaneously moving his wealth to Monaco to avoid paying tax. Alongside saying immigrants have colonised Britain whilst using bogus data to back up his arguments. No wonder the only one supporting him is Farage. I wonder how the Republic of Manchester will react. | |

If they haven't filed for asylum in France (just to get to Calais and then here) they get nothing. If they file for asylum in France, they get less than 7 Euros a day. Here they get £49 a day, having already paid thousands to buy a place on a rubber boat. It needs to be stopped now. Ratcliffe provides employment and job security in the UK for thousands through INEOS and other ventures so I don't give a flying fu ck where he pays his taxes when c*nts like Rayner use their position to avoid paying £40,000 and Blair for for opening the door for all this shit in the first place. So Ratcliffe avoiding paying £4 billion in tax is ok but Rayners 40k isn’t ? It’s £49 per week by the way. Not per day.

Ratcliffe’s poor choice of words maybe but his companies are paying taxes as are his employees. His reference was for the likes of Tower Hamlets which is like a ghetto of immigrants, low employment high support costs. Immigration housing is very costly passed on in increased taxes, you ok with that?

What about the Green party leader who wants to legalise hard drugs, who want to.use tax payers money to pay immigrants to come here, and thinks women can have c@cks? Or maybe a bit more of Starmer and his dubious appointments or a bit of Badenoch? Politics is in a right state. Starmer and the Labour government were elected to put all those years of Tory scandal behind them. Hmm, look how that is turning out. Millions and millions of young people can't work because they are mentally ill. Drugs, knives, guns out of control in this country, with schools locking down due to stabbings. Is there somewhere else we could go? 🤔 [Post edited 12 Feb 20:32]

If you are going to carry an argument and convince people of its worth it helps if you get your facts correct in the first place Ron. My understanding is:- 1. People coming to this country are initially asylum seekers and only become illegal immigrants if and when their request to stay actually fails or they overstay their time granted to stay. 2. Many hundreds of thousands more people come to and are accepted into the U K through normal channels each year than the relatively few who chance their arm in rubber dinghies annually. 3. As pointed out by another poster it’s £49 per week not per day. 4. Ratcliffe didn’t supply employment and job security for a good number of back room staff at Manure, in fact exactly the opposite.

Just had a look on flashscore. In the PL so far this season they have used 9 English players out of a total of 27, that said, 4 of the 9 are youngsters with only 7 appearances between them and most of those as very late subs with only Fletcher [108] having more than single figure total minutes. So that takes it down to 5 with half decent or regular minutes which is less than 20%. Tyler Fredricson [1] Ayden Heaven [11] Harry Maguire [13] Luke Shaw [26] Jack Fletcher [3] Kobbie Mainoo [17] Mason Mount [17] Shea Lacey [2] Bendito Mantato [1]

Would you like to know how much per week a returning expats would get? ZERO. Nothing, Zip. Do you think it is right that illegal immigrants get free board and food etc while someone coming back after working overseas will be entitled to no housing, no benefits, no nothing! I know this for a fact as we are at this time trying to raise funds for a very unlucky bloke here, who, through no fault of his own lost all his money, more or less. I have contacted his local MP, Reform, GB News and many others to ask for help....not a one of them cares. When he arrives at LHR he will be homeless and broke. Should we not help him and house him as we do illegal immigrants?

I thought it may be a topical piece for them to write about and draw attention to. But like all others, they don't really care, they just like to rile. But my point is correct and you have avoided answering my question. He should be helped as a UK citizen as normally he would be if he lived in the UK and lost his job, would you not agree?

Your friend won’t be able to do anything until he’s in the country. Rather than going to GB News, reform etc, they would need to present themselves at their nearest housing team, its Gateway in Southampton civic centre, if he’s local. I don’t know his circumstances, but try to get an appointment with Citizen’s Advice who can support/advise on any benefits he will be entitled to (and he will be entitled to it providing he has an NI number and can prove who he is).

He has been told already that he will NOT be eligible for benefits of any kind for at least 6 weeks as he has been out of the country for more than 5 years. Do you think that is fair? he is also not eligible for a hotel, he will at best get a hostel for homeless junky types etc. Is that also fair? All I am saying is that we look after illegal immigrants Better than we do our own and this guy has paid 26 years of tax and NI before. They have paid nothing.

Depending of course on his circumstances, ie he’s not physically or mentally handicapped. Fortunately, there are many good and charitable people in the UK. Things could be worse of course, he could have no country to come home to.

Indeed, but comment like he just made are lazy. People are quick and lazy to call reform racist etc., without actually thinking first. That said, I cannot vote for Reform as I do not like or trust Farage. Zia would get my vote, but no way Farage. He is a liar and does not really care about the general UK population as he says he does.
