My daughter is currently travelling and at the moment is living and working in Melbourne. She has no knowledge of cricket. I was telling her what a big event the Boxing Day test was and how I'd love to go. She messaged me this morning at half five saying "Guess where i am?" There she was in the MCG having been given a ticket of someone who couldn't go. My wife asked her how she liked it. Her response? "It was very slow"

Twice in 4 tests it's been all over in 2 days. That's not Test Cricket. Not as I've ever known.it. Cricket Australia must be gutted with huge loss of revenue.
OK the 1st was England incompetence. The 2nd was largely down to the pitch. Sure, England bowled much better and then batted more sensibly to knock off a lowish target. Overall, its not good enough. |  |

I went today and Markus came on and was bowling absolute trash. It was just a way of running the overs down before the new ball. You're on 46 and it's 5 mins before lunch. How you get out like that I have no idea. You should never play for England again. Where is the professional pride with these players? Totally unaware of the game situation.
And even selfishly if you score a big hundred in Australia in an ashes test you're basically set for life.
