| thoughts on west ham in t'cup 13:55 - Jan 5 with 8858 views | themodfather | was very excited until 4 injuries v owls , west ham must surely focus on prem survival and clawing back 4 points to get out of drop zone is not easy , likely they rest players, use reserves / development squad? a cup run is still the dream of many fans , with 9000 QPR tickets sold, new ground etc and i still hope we put out the best 11 we can , our catalogue of cup failures is long, painful and embarrassing . and must end asap imo getting to the ground is fun i hear as you cannot go thru westfield , how do their security know you are not a shopper? so most have a 15-20 min walk, from stations. i suppose the weather factor must come in too. | | | | |
| thoughts on west ham in t'cup on 14:03 - Jan 5 with 3647 views | NorthantsHoop | Don't get too excited especially with our FA Cup record, latest injuries and playing a poor performing relegation threatened West Ham all has a ring of last season's 6-2 thrashing at Leicester who were pretty much in same position as West Ham, and it is bitterly cold at the moment, as it was at Leicester. | | | |
| thoughts on west ham in t'cup on 14:04 - Jan 5 with 3635 views | HAYESBOY | You cant send kids out to face West Ham. You can tinker within the squad, ie, Field and Hayden in. Smyth in at the start. But that's about it. Obviously hoping that the injuries picked up last game are not bad. Hopefully Chair could get on the bench as well. | |

Our record means nothing It's history and Is irrelevant, our Manager must name his strongest side possible other wise there Is no point In us entering the best competition In the world. Hopefully Jarrod Bowen has a very bad case of high pressure diarrhea.

You can walk through the shopping centre to the ground or there is a walkway round the side of it. All I know is I never want to be in that type of ground in the future. Would have been great to be going to the Boleyn this weekend. Remember the South Bank there and the old Chicken Run.
| thoughts on west ham in t'cup on 14:25 - Jan 5 with 3457 views | Nov77 | Sadly my only hope is we keep it below the 6-1 we beat them by in 1978 in the cup. Had a friend at school who was a West Ham fan, for the next few weeks whenever he said any sentence with the word ‘one’ in, I would interrupt and say ‘no, six-one’. | |

| thoughts on west ham in t'cup on 14:25 - Jan 5 with 3451 views | BexleyHoop | West Ham are playing Forest Tuesday night which feels like a 6 pointer fixture. I think they are then playing Spuds the week after the cup game, so I think they will rest a few for that. Rumours that Nuno could get the sack if things do not go well on Tuesday, so that might impact their team for Sunday. Lots of hope for a 3rd round FA Cup win, but realistically normal service will resume and we lose. Will be a good day out anyway. Early start in West India Quay Weatherspoons then short trip on DLR to Pudding Mill Lane. They close gates in Westfield so people cannot access the Olympic Park near The Cow pub and send away fans the long way round. I work in Stratford and there is nowhere decent to drink. If you do travel into Stratford then I suggest jumping on the DLR heading to Lewisham and getting off at Pudding Mill Lane (Near Abba Voyage) as easiest way to get to away seating Expect an hour wait to get back into Stratford after the game. Will be like the old days of trying to get into Upton Park Tube station | | | | Login to get fewer ads
| thoughts on west ham in t'cup on 14:30 - Jan 5 with 3421 views | aston_hoop | Assuming injuries to all the players rumoured, I'd be going Nardi Mbengue Dunne Cook RND Madsen Field Saito Dembele Kolli Kone As strong as possible, don't think RND will be asked to sit out unless Sheff U really want to recall him to play third fiddle to Burrows and McCallum. A strong and organised team who know each other well against whatever bunch of players West Ham cobble together could be massive. Perfect game for a 25 minute Smyth cameo too (just please, Julien, never start him, it doesn't work). Plus the energy off the bench of Morgan, the know-how of Hayden. We have a huge chance here, let's not blow it. West Ham fan I know when I asked him about the chances of playing the U21s, he said he hopes so as they are better than the first team. Lets see. Could be a new manager bounce for them by Sunday anyway! | |

| thoughts on west ham in t'cup on 14:31 - Jan 5 with 3419 views | Juzzie | Yeah, the injuries (especially to Burrell) have dampened things a tad. Was looking forward to hopefully seeing him run at them. Really don't know how it could pan out. I've already explained to my son that we are playing a PL team so kind of getting the excuses in early if we do end up losing! I'm going there with a view that if we lose it's kind of expected (for so many reasons) and not going to be too despondent about it. BTW - I'm not being defeatist before anyone tries to jump down my throat! If we do manage to get a positive result out of the game then it will be a day to remember. | | | |

This game probably depends on how serious West Ham take it, regardless of how it is for them at the moment, they are still a level above us. We were further weakened with injuries against Sheffield Wednesday and that may well influence how we approach the game. We have a chance as long as we turn up, but I still think if we show our sloppy away approach which we have been doing since Norwich away we will get beaten.

| thoughts on west ham in t'cup on 16:23 - Jan 5 with 2979 views | terryb | My thoughts on the West Ham game is to ask questions of the LFW population as this board has so many knowlegeable members! Any advice will be gratefully received. 1) Possibly the most important is. Do we need to find a watering hole outside of Stratford? I know we've been advised to, but is it necessary? 2) As we have bus replacement on Greater Anglia services, I'm yet to decide whether to drive to Shenfield or Gants Hill. Is their still free road parking available at Gants Hill on the side roads? I suppose this question could also apply to Fairlop or Hainault. 3) If I'm using the Central Line, is it better/quicker to walk to Leyton after the game than use Stratford? Thanking everyone in advance for any answers given. | | | |

| thoughts on west ham in t'cup on 16:58 - Jan 5 with 2868 views | Ghost_on_the_Westway | I told a Whammer I know we sold out our 9000 allocation in a couple of hours, so he trotted out the usual “Well, it’s a cup final for you, innit”. I just told him that the 3rd round usually is for us, whoever we play. Not as if we won’t be going back next season, by the looks of it. We think we’re a basket case, but Sh-t atmosphere aside, even we would struggle to fck up a situation where we’d been given a 60,000 seater stadium for nothing, fill it most weeks and still get relegated. Um, wouldn't we? | |
| I need a SAGA. What’s the SAGA? It’s ….. Queen’s Park Rangers. |

| thoughts on west ham in t'cup on 17:01 - Jan 5 with 2855 views | queensparker | Anyone know what parking’s like round there? Can you just park in Westfield? All the trains from near me look like they’ve got issues next Sunday and can’t face hours of titting about afterwards if we lose | | | |
| thoughts on west ham in t'cup on 17:35 - Jan 5 with 2718 views | francisbowles | Remembering last year Kolli came on after 28 minutes for Lloyd. Varane scored from a Kolli pass for 1-1. Then I think errors led to some of their goals but Kolli scored in first half added time to make it 3-2 at half time. In the second half we gave away a penalty for 4-2 and they went on to fill their boots. With Burrell probably out and a week on the training ground, it's a good time to put three in centre midfield. Smyth should play at least the second half but should be on the right. Ideally Chair on the left, or Kolli if fit otherwise Saito. Kone the lone striker. | | | |

| thoughts on west ham in t'cup on 18:56 - Jan 5 with 2376 views | captainmycaptian | I thought we might have had a reasonable chance but the latest injuries have been a big set back imo. Hope for them lucky enough to get tickets that we A/PLAY THE STRONGEST TEAM B/ have a real go at them it could spark our season. C/ PLAY THE STRONGEST TEAM if we do this can ask for no more. Also a cavy act dont lose by more than 6. Hope it's a cracker for all that going. Still really enjoy the FA cup long memory | | | |
