| Hull City v Swansea City : Match day thread on 19:39 - Jan 24 by Fireboy2 | Ward is 36, I doubt no matter how fit he gets that he will be tbe starting RB for every game. I am hoping that key gets his confidence back but I suspect we will carry on with galbraith there until the end of the season. |
I doubt he will start every game, but neither are we going to chuck him in to start straight away either. It's going to take a little while to get him match sharp.

It hasn't taken long for Matos to go from hero to zero with you, just a couple of weeks ago you were denying this would happen, but yes it has. Now you revert back to the same old slagging of the coach just because you can't construct a reasonable argument or understand the complexities of football. There has been a massive improvement under Matos he is setting us up to create chances, its not his fault we are not taking them. Do you really think Matos can legislative for a horrendous mistake by Cabango of course he can't. But what he did do was stimuate the team at halftime, tweak the formation and the players responded in the second half. We deserved more, we didn't get it, if you can't see that there really is no hope for you.

He's just riddled with hatred. There's no talking sense to him. He wouldn't know what to do with himself if the Swans were successful. I mean, it's obvious that he's posting a lot less recently anyway.

Are you underestimating how good we have been at stifling teams, the thing that is killing us off is bad decision-making, bad finishing and not taking the right option in the final third, not when the home team has piled the defence up to prevent us from making space but away from home when the opposition is expected to attack we had a lot of openings in their third of the pitch that we did not exploit properly having said that our build up play is getting so much better in open play but the lack of that quality or experience to finish things off is telling. | Hull City v Swansea City : Match day thread on 00:51 - Jan 25 with 1209 views | swancity | I didn’t see today’s game but it’s obvious that a couple of errors were costly. Cabango and Vipotnik seem to have cost us three points. We are improving. Much better to watch. More enjoyable and interesting with an energetic style. Getting forward quicker in possession and closing down opponents higher up the pitch and doing it with an intensity. Individual errors happen in every game. Unfortunately today they were costly. Van Dyke cost Liverpool a defeat earlier when he missed a simple ball completely. It was windy today which no doubt made for difficult conditions. You seem to relish it when we lose. You may be just on a constant wind up which would be sad. Either way you’re not contributing anything of note to this forum. I’d have thrown you off it by now.

| Hull City v Swansea City : Match day thread on 09:57 - Jan 25 with 931 views | PawelAbbott | I think Matos has done a great job since joining. We are getting better results and it is far more enjoyable to watch. There's not much that he can do when Vipotnik misses an open goal from 3 yards and Cabango decides to punch a cross. At least we are in the match for 90 minutes and creating chances. | | | |

Matos set up the Swans to win the game yesterday. He can’t do any more than that. He is exonerated by the fact (without any stats) it was blatant that anyone viewing the game saw a whole bunch of hapless behaviour when presented with goalscoring opportunities and ridiculous decision making there was little more Matos could do. He put together a team that should have easily won this game, his players let him down because everything was right in its preparation. The one thing he can’t do is stop some of the ridiculous decision making in the second half that the players instigated, the failure to put numerous chances away and prevent them from stupid mistakes that often I result in goals against. On the pitch decisions when a team is set up to win and has the opportunity to do so who then throw the game away is really not the fault of the head coach. It’s the fault of players who are given the tools and can’t use them. Time and time again. And that irrespective of picking Ethan Galbraith out of position.

Good response and I agree When they go over the whitewash etc However , I was simply venting my frustration at another game effectively chucked away I don’t like losing I like Matos , as Ovecsaud before , he will coach a big team one day That said , when interviewed I’d like him to portray how he really feels as Om sure he’s utterly brassef off by basic errors Nothing wrong with publically admitting this Anyway, it’s ( almost) good to be back on this side but soon my ire and indignation will be rugby wise with onset of 7 nations ? Which will be truly significant , for all the wrong reasons It might be the end of Wales , as we know it That will make many smile

So you want him to repeat what previous managers have done and throw players under the bus? From what I have seen so far from Matos and mostly from that initial welcome video where we saw him with the Fairwood staff and in rhe dressing room this guy has giid people management skills....I suspect he will express his feelings and thoughts in private with the individuals concerned.

Agreed. Personal attacks of players and managers which are unsubstantiated and without any substance in the main should not be encouraged. Especially as they aren’t here to defend themselves. By all means have an opinion but try to be objective. Slagging off constantly is a bit waring. For everyone. Pulling something apart with hindsight is easy.

Players are personally attacked all the time. Only by a few twisted malcontents mind. I find personal criticism of all but a very few people who really deserve it to be distasteful. And I thought I was being tasteful with the "less cerebral" comments. Much classier than "thick as pigshit". [Post edited 25 Jan 19:45]
