| Hull City v Swansea City : Match day thread on 20:05 - Jan 25 with 941 views | streetlyjack | Reading through the comments since yesterday and aside from the actual game my thoughts on this particular match trail would be: - We all have different opinions and see the game differently which is part of the beauty of football and the reason these forums exist. I really do shake my head at some comments and opinions on here as I am sure you all do too but that is the beauty of this forum - if we all agreed on things people would get bored and move on to 3 hours of scrolling through tik tok. - This forum collects all the thoughts and emotions of SCFC fans both negative and positive and is the reason we all keep looking in when we really should either be working or doing something productive (guilty as charged)! - We all love SCFC, we all see things differently - this is a good thing.....really it is.... Ronald is improving (something I never thought I would say but hats off to him at least now having a go). Our distribution from the back is too slow and very average and our biggest roadblock to winning more games IMO. The speed of pass from Cabango is far too slow and Burgess just isn't suited to launch quick attacks or play anything other than a long ball down the channels. I thought the triple change yesterday came a little early as we were well on top at that point and should have kept pressing whilst Hull were on the ropes, we lost momentum at the wrong time? Not sure what everyone's realistic expectations are for the rest of this season but for me it has been hugely frustrating and really is a missed opportunity as the league this year is wide open and very average. Let's give Matos some time to build something and hopefully next season we can carry more of a threat and compete up at the top. Being a Swans fan = 10% enjoyment / 80% frustration & 10% hope. | |

| Hull City v Swansea City : Match day thread on 20:12 - Jan 25 with 913 views | Dr_Winston | For the rest of this season I hope to continue seeing the incremental improvements that we have done. The bedding in of an entertaining style of play, working towards maybe a late charge towards the playoffs or, more likely, getting things ready for the next campaign. The most important thing we can do now is keep to the path. That's what cost us with Sheehan. What he was doing last season worked, yet for some reason that was abandoned in favour of the crap we saw at the start of this season. Blame Sheehan, blame O'Dea, blame whoever, but it was a mistake. One I don't think we'll replicate. I don't think we're a million miles away in terms of the squad. A bit more experience/seasoning for the likes of Widell/Inoussa, a move back into the middle for Galbraith, an attempt to unlock the potential I think is there in Idah. Evolution not revolution. | |

| Hull City v Swansea City : Match day thread on 14:35 - Jan 26 with 611 views | bargoedjack | First miss - he'd score it 8 or 9 times out of ten ... as would most strikers. Obviously this time he didn't Second miss. he'd been pulled and spun round by their defender (in front of where I was standing) - so off balance when the ball came to him. Without that it would have been a much easier chance. On video you only see him still off balance when the ball came in, not the reason why. On another day we'd have got points from that game. | | | |
| Hull City v Swansea City : Match day thread on 15:02 - Jan 26 with 594 views | Dr_Winston | First miss I think he had a split second doubt as to whether he was onside or not which was enough to break his concentration. Should have done better though. I wouldn't call the second one a sitter. He could have scored it but missing it wouldn't have been a shock either. | |

| Hull City v Swansea City : Match day thread on 15:46 - Jan 26 with 561 views | jack247 | They were both open goals. There was more pressure from the defender on the second, but once he got there first it was an empty net. Cullen got slaughtered for missing an easy header a few weeks ago, it was a harder chance than either of them. But when he’s dug us out so many times already this season and scored plenty of goals he had no right to score, you just have to move on. He’s more than earned the right to forget about a nightmare few minutes. If there’s a positive, he’s getting into great positions regularly and that will get him his share of tap ins to complement the screamers. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

Most certainly if he hits 20 league goals this season he can say he has had a very good season. If anyone comes in for him I would expect it to be a relegated sode from above or a few of those who didn’t make it this time around.

I think he’s had a good season now regardless. If he hits 20, which he looks well capable of, that’s Piroe territory. If Galbraith gets a decent run in midfield and plays as he was earlier in the season, we’ve probably got £30-40m value in just that pair. Never want to sell our best players, but the likelihood is bigger clubs will be interested in both of them. They’d fetch huge coin.
