Paul Simon is pretty talented. If you listen to the guitar chords for the opening of 50 Ways to Leave Your Lover, they are really really nice. Lots of clever inversions and shit like that.
But then it turns into a really terrible sort of pop funk track with nursery rhyme lyrics.
I've never listened to much S&G stuff though, I imagine there's some good stuff in there. I only really know Paul Simon for that You Can Call Me Al song.
Good lord. Has anyone ever looked more like a c*nt than Foden?
I'm enjoying this match but will turn it off on the final whistle as I literally could not give a f**k about either set of fans and their reactions to yet another trophy.
As a guitarist I know I should check out Jeff Beck, Frank Zappa and Van Halen maybe but whenever I listen to like a minute of them I get nothing from it.
In terms of punk sort of stuff I probably should be familiar with Slint, Dinosaur Jr, Sonic Youth but again they just don't grab me in a minute or so.
My mate was so nervous and was freaking out and that meant I had to torment him. He was very superstitious so I said "it's going to be okay. They absolutely will not score against Rob Green and if they can't score they can't win" and he was like 'shut the fk up!'
But after a while I started to believe what I was saying.
I hate Bob Geldof but I don't consider his music career to be important enough to give him a space in the top 5. Top 5 C*nts maybe. But not top 5 musicians.
I'm with you on divas. Whitney Deadc*nt almost made it onto my list because of that fking song that was number one for like 38 weeks.
Bruce Springsteen. I don't hate him but I don't rate anything he's done and have never gone out of my way to listen to any of his songs.
The Killers. Good shout that. Another dreary 'The' band with 'anthems' that have no hooks or fking edge to them at all.
BUT! Rap. I think there's enough variation in rap to prove any hater wrong. 95% of it is garbage piss but there are a few songs that are undeniably good and impressive.
I'd ordinarily vote Lib Dems but I literally couldn't name one of them, including the leader, and have no idea what they stand for or what their policies are.
The Greens are just mental. In theory I agree with saving the planet but they pull in a lot of nonsense with it.
Tories - lying c*nts. I blame them for the disaster of Brexit.
Labour - can't forgive them after walking us into an illegal war.
Reform - all right wingers are grifters trying to sell you shit.
1. Simply Red/Mick Hucknall. I will celebrate his death. Needs to be tried at The Hague for crimes against music. C*nt.
2. Paul Weller. Miserable c*nt, shit hair, shit tunes. Don't act all 'mod' you sellout Style Council c*nt.
3. Ed Sheeran. Admittedly I couldn't tell you the name of any of his songs. But I hate him, his face, his Hucknall hair and his full sleeve tattoos. Why you got those, Ed? You're not a tattoo guy. You're a bitch who makes shit. Shit making bitch.
4. Abba. What is the national fking obsession with Abba? Every tune is shit but it's worse than shit, it's meaningless shit. Who likes this shit? It's got to be people who generally hate music. I don't get it. The fking Steps of the 70s.
5. Muse. A heavy, technical band on paper but they aren't heavy. Look at a Muse crowd, it's all babysitters and top knot haircuts. They can't rock a heavy crowd. And it's not technical. It's just shitty scales played as riffs by a c*nt with a shit whining voice. I saw them getting interviewed when they first arrived on the scene. Bunch of smug, humourless, pretentious c*nts. Useless.
It'll be good to get the Tories out. They don't know what they are doing.
But Labour can f**k off. They're good for the NHS but shit on crime and last time they were in we had the whole Weapons of Mass Destruction lie/Iraq War which cost many lives.
Lib Dems? Well, they're my usual vote but f**k me, I literally can't name one of those c*nts. And that includes the leader.
Greens? Fk that. Look, I just need to live another 30 or so years. I don't need the entire economy collapsing because of their bullshit.
Anything right wing/Farage-y/GB News-y. F**k off. Bunch of grifters and w@nkers.
They've got a good manager and financially they're doing okay because they've not spent much in the three year FFP window. So if they've got any ambition, they'll try to build on this. But you've got to worry about Eze and Olise from an injury point of view.
It's funny that as a man I'm being told I should care about women's football - which I don't because I barely care about any football that doesn't directly affect QPR - but now that a woman manager has had great success, the pinnacle of her career must be her coming over to the men's game.
Surely the way to build the women's game is to, I don't know, keep all its best talent.
Jake Paul - who above anything else is a crypto scamming c**t - looks fat at the moment but he's a big boy for sure and Tyson was never the biggest heavyweight. The age difference is like 30 years, which is a worry.
As an MMA fan, I've watched a few Jake Paul fights as he's been demolishing past their prime UFC fighters along the way. So far he's been a very mediocre boxer with not much apparent skill. You won't see many combos, any clever footwork or many faints from him. But he can go the distance and seems to have legit power in his right hand.
But he did lose to Tommy Fury and that's concerning for him as Tommy Fury is F**KING SHIT.
But Tyson wasn't exactly pulling up trees when he stopped fighting twenty years ago. So I can't expect much from him now. Especially as he was apparently walking with a stick a year ago. He looks fierce in training footage but that's easy to do if the camera is only rolling for a few seconds.
I expect it to be an absolute dogshit fight with one guy who's far too old and one guy who's far too shit just clinging onto each other to a meaningless decision.
Pretty funny that Palace managed to overtake Brighton on the final day despite Brighton apparently being the best run club in the entire history of football.
