The newly-appointed commercial director will need to hit the ground running next month. The admirable way the Ogdens have gone about their business includes one feature not normally associated with commercial success: understatement
Let's face it... until just a few short weeks ago, no-one in the fanbase had heard of them! How many times did someone post on here, over the past few years "...if we had a multimillionaire waiting in the wings, they'd have come forward by now..." ? Turns out we had an even bigger fish than that. And, seemingly unknown despite the work of the Ogden Trust in local schools!! Are there no Dale fans with kids at those schools?
As i say, the understatement is admirable, especially involving charitable work. The commercial manager however, needs to be someone capable (when necessary) of shouting from the rooftops, in an engaging way of course, to gain traction within our entire community

We all need to be prepared to put the past to bed, and i'm fully on board with that
In that spirit, it's worth noting those who've been unhappy with SG's decision-making to the point of calling for him to be replaced were not - and are not - "disgraceful". That's disrespectful to those committed fans. They are not that stupid word used too often in current jargon: "haters". (There was some over-the-top abuse from a few morons.)
That said, i'll pay tribute to his financial input and indeed, sacrifice. It'll be very interesting to see how the co-Chairmanship works out. SG got off to a great start in his tenure, and if he can return to that happy mode alongside Cameron Ogden, could go from strength to strength |

What a fantastic new board we're going to have
I can go with the co-Chairmanship, and the skillsets among the new co-Chair and directors is probably as good as any outside the Premier League; possibly better than some within it

It could be the Ogden's see Dale as a vehicle for a lasting legacy, beyond the Ogden Trust and way beyond the sporting sphere. We represent an opportunity for them too! I can see nothing but good coming from this and it perhaps gives the town as a whole the chance to rewrite the narrative of recent years, following so much bad publicity
We have history here, with the Co-op. The community-focused model is one which can make history in its own right

For the first time (i can recall) technology being used to confirm and update contact details and preferences. (My only change was to update the country i lived in, which was recorded in my address as "USA")

It's not your brain cells, it's the lack of a simple reply from anyone who knows what's happened with that table
I don't take part so can't help, but surely someone can, or knows someone who can and could get in touch with them, since they may have stopped checking this forum at the end of the season
