They are some of the most inept, clueless tw@ts God ever put breath into as this disconnect shows. Dreadful even by Labour's low benchmark They want a war now do they ? Here's an idea - empty the migrant hotels, the hostels, the HMOs, round up the whole shoddy backlog of applications give the buggers a uniform and basic training and send them to Ukraine - If you come back in one piece you can have your lovely UK passport Sonny Jim....Now let's see just how much you love this country of ours. Off you go. Russian lines are that way. Two birds one stone. Somehow I don't think many will be too keen to go and be shot at, why would they ?having free bed, board and pocket money rocking on our dime. No let's conscript native sons and daughters as cannon fodder instead Absolute bunch of utterly contemptable weigh anchors... Mind you I wouldn't count on any of them having any equipment to fight with as the current circus is ensuring... https://www.msn.com/en-us/news [Post edited 26 Oct 11:16]

We have certainly been crying out for a creative spark in a number of games and from what I've seen of Walta he can provide that as well as being a dead ball specialist. I don't buy the lightweight or height thing either as Just to me looks smaller than his 5 9 frame would suggest. Walta is 5 7 same as Routs, Leon and Dyer were 5 4 so I don't think anyone can say smaller players can't compete in this physical league. Just can also play on the wing of course which may have influenced VMs decision but so far he hasn't looked comfortable in any position and I like many had high hopes after seeing him for Motherwell last season and in the WC. I'm sure there's a reason for it in VM's head but to send this kid out on loan while persisting with Just is to me strange albeit with the benefit of hindsight - he's regularly scoring and providing assists both for Finland and LA... I'm sure he'll crop up again in the next round of Nations League fixtures. 23 goals in 59 games from a midfielder is not too shabby and Sirius are no pub team either, currently top of the Swedish League. Not a criticism of VM but I would love to know what his thinking is on this, it can't be the homegrown player thing either. I think we all thought Just was going to perform better than he has so far and maybe VM thought so as well ? Be interesting to see what happens in January [Post edited 26 Oct 8:56]

On the subject of inexplicable loss of form.... 30 years ago this month as many will remember, Ferguson's United were unbeaten in the league and had just beaten Liverpool...Another title looked like it was heading to Old Trafford once again They then went to Newcastle and like us got pasted 5-0. then came a 6-3 drubbing at Southampton and a home defeat to Chelsea. Losing 3 in a row and dropping 9 points was unheard of for that team of such calibre and it sent shockwaves through English football for 3 weekends They then resumed the previous form and ended up as Champions by 7 clear points. A freak result and performance like yesterday can happen to any team but having the tenacity to bounce back is what is required. Blackburn at home will tell us a lot about this squad's mentality and whether Maestro Matos can fix and still get a tune out of what was yesterday a broken piano.. [Post edited 25 Oct 11:49]

Whatever it is - and if it is grave news of some sort - it will likely come out as the press are now asking the same question as folk on here. Very odd tone to the show. |

It could be that The Sun ran a papparazi story about Kelly leaving his house after spending the night there about an hour and a half before he went on air . He doesn't like celeb nonsense and wouldn't like his private life splashed across the gutter press. It could also possibly have upset one or more of his kids if they weren't meant to know who are still grieving their late mother. Pure speculation but I wouldn't be surprised if that had something to do with it. |

We have some top lads playing for us now. Regardless of tomorrow's result they will give us a great and enjoyable season as Matos has got their mentality right which is something we have lacked under the last 3 or 4 managers. |

I watched the documentary on iPlayer last night and it brought the anger back. Just before my time but it cast a long shadow over South Wales and we were very aware of it growing up. My gramps was just coming up to retirement but still a working miner, as was my uncle at Tower and they together with my Dad were straight over there in his car and digging. He never really discussed it apart from one thing - a young Salvation Army girl still of school age herself in the middle of the night stood knee deep in freezing slurry handing out mugs of tea to those digging. He said the Sally Army were marvellous providing help and comfort at Aberfan and would always give to them if they were collecting and I do the same now on his behalf. |

I agree she is a breath of fresh air We desperately need a coalition of the right and economically literate to drag us out of this cesspool of a failed state but egos are the stumbling block... Imagine Kemi, Rupert, Jenrick, Farage, Yousef, Anderson et al - all on the same team They'd sort out or at least start the processes of the majority of our problems in months. Sadly it won't happen as they won't build bridges... |

I did the same in the early 90s late 80s some of my mates were out there when the war was on...nutters...I was there a year before that derby game in 2000 a few months after being promoted. Was sat in a bar in Split and noticed we were playing Reading away the next day, in the English paper I bought - been out there and elsewhere nearly a month and were due to go home soon anyway but I bet my mate I could make the game consulting my Thompson's European Rail Timetables Book.... An hour later I was on the train to Ljubljana - from there to Munich (superb scenic journey everyone should try it) Munich to Ostend via Cologne - SeaCat to Dover - Storm in the Channel and me and these Hereford fans were trying to have a smoke outside in a choppy gale...got chatting turns out one lad's dad played for the Swans briefly in the late 60searly 70s....forget the player's name They thought I was deranged but promised me they'd floor it round the M25 if they got their booze and fags through customs - they did - I got pulled but fair play they waited and it was game on... Got to the Majdeski about 2:55 and bought a ticket - stewards wouldn't let me in with rucksack - Kind St Johns Ambulance guy stepped in and looked after it... If you were there and remember some dickhead walking up to he back of the away end looking like Magnum PI in an Hawaiian shirt & flip flops that day that was me Bumped into Tony Jenkins (RIP) up the back who gave me a lift back to London afterwards. We lost 5-1 and were shite - Martin Butler tore us a new arsehole and Watkin scored a consolation. Good fun but my feet were cold and soon wished I was back in Split...!! Anyway I won the f****g bet ! [Post edited 13 Oct 19:50]

 | Forum Reply | Man City Guilty of Financial Irregularities at 11:43 13 Oct 2026
The Rangers situation is completely different to Man City. Years of financial mismanagement, bad takeovers and HMRC did for them. Once in difficulties the greed and hatred of other clubs aided by the SFA, SPL and SFL ensured Rangers demotion. With Man City it was deliberate subterfuge and concealment many times over. Cheating in short. |

I'm also a long time fan of Hajduk and have been to the eternal derby and was glued to both the Swans and Hajduk games this weekend both had similar outcomes.. It's a bonkers fixture but incredible atmosphere - the game was stopped a number of times due o the smoke and pyrotechnics on the pitch. Hajduk won 1-0 and the partying in Split afterwards was fantastic. I'm glad all the Croatian lads enjoyed themselves and hope they'll be at some more games soon. |
