Fisher became number 1 after Rushworth left. Vigouroux was signed that summer but he was seen as backup. After a series of blunders and poor displays Vigouroux became number 1.
Yes, they have played well against promotion chasing teams, but the fact remains they still lost them games. There is a reason why we are 16th in the league. The midfield is starting to come together. I believe if we are serious for promotion next season he needs to improve the defence. That is my opinion.
The defence worries me. Josh Key is going through a tough time (yes he did well at Watford) plus we have a 36 Yr old playing RB. Galbraith is covering this position but his best position is in midfield. The two centre half are not good enough for this club to achieve promotion. Both are weak and make too many mistakes.
Disappointed we didn't sign a striker. Hopefully Vipotnik stays injury free. I know people will say Cullen, Ronald etc can play as a striker but imo they aren't.
Javi Gracia has left Watford after a meeting with the board today. It's understood he has resigned. Sky Sports News understands Gracia is saying his goodbyes to the players this afternoon.
Not helped by Russell Martin. I remember his confidence took a hit after he was subbed against Middlesbrough. Glad to see he is flourishing with Dundee.
Glory Nzingo has joined League of Ireland Premier Division club St. Patricks Athletic on a permanent deal subject to international clearance.
The 21-year-old recently returned to Swansea following his loan spell at MLS Next Pro outfit Carolina Core, where he scored nine goals in 27 games.
Nzingo joined the Swans in June 2023 and was a mainstay figure in Anthony Wright’s under-21s' side, including playing a vital role in the age-grade side’s run to the Nathaniel MG Cup final in 2024.
During his time in SA1, Nzingo received his first call up for the Republic of Ireland’s Under-21s' side, making his debut against Sweden in November 2024.
He now returns to the club he enjoyed much success at as a youth player, winning the under-15 league and cup double in his first season, and was part of the St Pats' under-19 league winning squad in December 2020.
Everyone at Swansea City wishes Glory all the best for the future.
