RM has done it again, shoehorned JS in.
at 09:13 10 Apr 2024

He could have helped his case a bit more if he (or the club) had made it known that the reason Bednarek was on the bench was because he had 'taken a whack' in the previous game before kick off, not after the game. This would have avoided more speculation about whether or not he knows what he's actually doing.
Maybe it's an indication of Martin's arrogance that it actually didn't cross his mind that the dropping of of one of our best defenders would cause negative comment.

RM and Jack

It appears he said 'that's why we had 70% possession' commenting on the Blackburn result and his tactics/Stephens.
But fails to mention only one shot at goal.
He's becoming an arrogant stereotype.
Several players already look pissed off with it.

Truly dire experience yesterday

When they brought in Martin I thought it was a bad decision, and I see no reason to change my opinion now.
Most of those players now appear to be biding their time keeping injury free until they can move on.
Except Stephens and Bazunu of course, they'll be going nowhere.

I am now convinced that Jack Stephen's is now picking this team.

Ask most Swansea supporters what they think about Martin. I've asked a few and the answers went from 'prima donna' to 'clueless tactically' through to 'arrogant wa naked'.

Saints 69% possession but Blackburn produced more shots on goal and on target.
Explain this, Martin.

Why not start somebody who actually knows where the goal is - Rothwell.

Possession football
at 11:01 30 Mar 2024

Russell's tactics are a busted flush.
Any team that plays us now knows they can stand on the halfway way line and watch as we fu ck about playing out from the back, trying to keep possession, hardly anything direct. Somebody called it 'cowards football' and that's exactly what it is.
Unfortunately the cowardly stuff involves making mistakes and giving the ball away in our own half. Yes I know Adams missed a couple yesterday but with Frazer and Brooks down the wings from the start far more chances would have been created. And why no Rothwell? He knows where the net is.

And Martin is 'angry' yet again. Change the record and your tactics, pal - before it's too late.

Didn't see much Ipswich pissing about passing out from the back or producing sideways and back passing - too busy up the other end scoring goals.

Saints Players You Have Met In Strange Surroundings
at 11:17 15 Mar 2024

Not really strange surroundings, but I found myself standing at the bar next to James Beattie at a pub now called the Sindercombe Social on Shepherd's Bush Green, back in 2015. Had a quick chat about Saints - he was surprised to be recognised.
More recently a couple of years ago we were on holiday in Padstow and booked in the small bar in Steins St Petroc's Bistro which is dog friendly but only has three tables but still vey nice. Took our seats and the only other people in there were a couple from Liverpool - we struck up a conversation and said we were from Southampton area...they said they had lived in Winchester for a while, and when I asked what he did, he just replied 'a bit of this and that'. By this time I'd realised it was Sammy Lee and his wife so I said 'at Saints?" . We ended staying three most of the afternoon drinking and talking football. Lovely couple.
And last but not least, about 12 years ago in Locks Heath a friend of my wife dropped in for an urgent chat about something...a car was parked outside with someone I assumed was her partner in it. They (as women do) started the usual long conversation, so I said I'll go and bring in her partner rather than let him sit outside - I went out and called him in for a drink. Jimmy Case.
