Exactly this, desperately trying to remain positive and I'm of a stoic disposition generally but good grief this is farcical. It's all well and good saying this, that or the other player will be back by X time but as we've seen with Madsen and Chair (to use two examples of many), players need time to bed back in, get up to speed etc etc, just kills any momentum they and the team were building.
Also, from a selfish point of view this Saturday is my first game at LR of the season and my daughter is flying over from France for the match. Such a shame we won't get to see the team who has the best chance of getting something from the game. Bollox.
Well our toothless attack manged 4 goals last time out, should have been 5 (Poku) and conceivably might have been 6 (Kolli) so I'm not so worried. That said I'd be delighted with a 0-0 today too.
Further Citeh shenanigans on Nicky Campbell 5 Live right now, good grief. Don't these supporters watch the news, hilarious stuff, recommended listening if anyone fancies a laugh on a Monday morning.
It's almost as if changing managers every third of the season over multiple seasons, each and every one of them wanting their own players and systems (spending literally billions in the process) doesn't work! No foundations, no real identity and circling the drain for a while now, bring it on I say.
This essentially. Defeats aren't inevitable just as there's no 'gimmes' in this league. Cliche alert but its the Championship and yes literally every team can beat another, there'll be dropped points when it's least expected and 3 points gained when on paper it looks easier to sh1t out a pool table. Every single season (in my lifetime anyway) has been this way, this season is likely to be no different.
That said rightly or wrongly, I'm sure the message boards of Norwich, Southampton, West Ham, Sheffield United etc are bemoaning their dropped points and struggling to understand why they're not top of the table with maximum points this morning.
