How many times was the game stopped mid play for someone feigning brain trauma brought on by acute embarrassment. The ref, as has been observed in recent match reports, totally lost his grip on the game.
It might have been a one off but he showed up for Burnley in 2008, got a verbal roasting from the Ellerslie faithful and proceeded to bang in a hattrick turning 2-1 into 4-2. When he was subbed towards the end he got an ovation from all sides.
You can see him in the celebration of the first goal Shhhhh'ing R Block
2 dress rehearsals for their goal had Hamer nailed both times, baffles me why he didn't organise someone to deal with Johnston. Ref right not to give a foul, Hamer was never going to convince with that theatrical buckle of the knees from a mild block.
it's one of the joys of being abroad for an away game, being able to legitimately cough £10 and watch the game. It has worked well for me in numerous locations. Any further comment may be incriminating!
I agree with everything you said except the stuff about the second half. Jimmy had a torrid second half, the only productivity they had came from the left wing and Jimmy was getting turned again and again. Seemed he was too often in a 1 against two situation with overlapping left backs providing options no one else in hoops was covering.
But as a skipper he was magnificent, time after time trotting over to handle the ref at free kicks under relentless pressure from Stoke players for cards and a bit of throw in "another yard, dummy the throw, another yard, repeat" ref wind ups for good measure.. :-))
At least this game wasn’t between 2 teams lol n the same strip and the pitch looked perfect, nice to see where the cash I chipped in to that bond went.
Very enjoyable, great to watch hoops with a threat from the left, Espradinho and Sutton clicked. Bennie looked particularly strong though got to control that temperament judging by that yellow card for the 3rd or was it 4th shove on the chest
During that day, not "After"! 1730 today, 31st May I went to buy my annual slew of logo'd nappy sacks and Jude arse transfers and my balance had gone to zero. 31st May has come, but not gone Nourry.
Seriously though, a chunk of the return on the QPR bonds is paid in QPR cash.. the club then eliminates your return on that financial investment by cancelling the cash. Strikes me as wrong
