Should start a rumour that he’s going to Middlesbrough in January That would probably send their fanbase into meltdown |

Now he's a player I'd happily see return, won't happen though Villa don't have much luck signing centre backs from us do they? |

Counterbalanced by Paul Murray who only made 1 appearance for Saints, away at Spurs from what I remember That's actually loads of players Tony Sealey Dexter Blackstock |

I don't remember it ever being a conscious decision or choice to be honest When I first got interested in football my grandad who was from Southampton, my dad and older brother all supported and went to games. My dad also bought me a candy stripes Admiral home shirt, so that was it really. If you look at the context of the times Saints were a good choice, established in the first division with a charismatic manager and a couple of seasons before we signed Kevin Keegan My brother lost interest in the mid 80's, he never really got over the disappointment of losing the semi-final to Everton but still keeps an eye out for the results My grandad passed away in the early 90's, his last game was when we beat Liverpool 4-1 in 1989 which is probably the best I've ever seen Saints play and a real favorite game I've been to So its just something that my dad and I do, have done for over 40 years and will continue to do |

Pete Doherty used to write for their Kick Up The R’s fanzine when he was young Robert Smith, Bill Bailey, Seann Walsh and Mick Jones all support Rangers My mate and his young son saw a very grumpy Mick Jones having a selfie with a fan after a match, my pals son asked “why is that bloke asking for a selfie with that tramp?” My mate had to explain “that tramp” was a very famous guitar player, albeit a scruffily dressed one Also Jack Reagan and George Carter mentioned going to QPR a couple of times in The Sweeney, there’s one episode where Reagan chases a villain through the stands at an empty Loftus Road [Post edited 28 Oct 14:11]

Not having a Hampshire accent has been handy on the occasions I’ve been in the home ends at Millwall and QPR Just amp up the Woking mockney and blend into the surroundings I have to admit I have got a bit pissy on a couple of occasions when I’ve been asked why I support Saints in the past but that’s just me |

Just had to ask the Home Secretary (Mrs S) as she deals with all that 69.50 a month for 2 boxes, not hd and the basic package along with broadband Don't want the football or any other sports and am happy to spend as little as possible for "the idiot box" |

Well deserved and one of the few likeable players who don’t play for Saints Amazing to think I saw him looking distinctly average playing against us for Orient and Millwall many years ago |

Whilst I agree with him who are you supposed to support if you live in a town without a club? I grew up in a satellite town with no club of note when I was young, the most local league club at the time was Aldershot and no-one from Woking is going to support those w@nkers Thankfully the decision was already made for me as I've said previously due to family connections to Southampton but technically one of the clubs in south west London would be closest as easiest for me to get to |

True Despite all the pearl clutching during the summer everyone has seen the results achieved under Tonda and other chairmen won't give two shits about the "spygate" shenanigans I like really Tonda and am pleased that we got the decision we wanted from the FA after sticking with him but he'd have to get us promoted before being compared to Nigel Adkins, let alone Lawrie Mac who it would take something truly remarkable to usurp his position of Saints greatest manager |
