God knows who signed off the Obikwu transfer - I know we are not going to get them all right but what a shocker this one is. We paid good money for him too. |

Yeah we do seem to think we are the only one's doing a three game week. It comes back to fitness and conditioning again and something we have all noticed hasn't been right for three years now. I thought we looked fitter at the start of this season but eleven games in the same issues are recurring. Hats off to Bolton maybe they don't look for the excuse before they have even played. |

Ademeola Bankole played one game in goal and I still wake up in cold sweats thinking about it. How the hell he managed to pass as a professional goalkeeper I will never know. |

Great writing thanks Jamie - Spot on and just as I saw the game. Eleven games in and all our worries are coming to fruition concerning injuries, fitness and player availability. It was always going to be a tough ask going away to Birmingham after a Wednesday midweek game and so it proved. However up until the first goal we were containing them ok but once they scored the result never looked in doubt. At least we now have a week to recover and get ready for tough game at HQ. |

Great preview Clive and totally agree. As Neil Warnock said to the players early on in his tenure: "Just go out and enjoy it lads you earn a fortune and this is a smashing club" Perhaps us fans should just do the same - It's a fantastic squad and dressing room and this season won't be determined by the result on Saturday. "It's another sold out away end, this is our club and we are heading in the right direction" Come on you R'rrs |

Yeah we certainly have had a few curve balls to deal with on substitutions. Big discussion in G block Wednesday night too. We were surprised with the game won we didn't protect Kamara (who looked a little leggy for the last 20 minutes) with Varane and instead opted to take Vale off (who we believed could have done with 90 minutes in his legs). Also Lloyd and Kolli are young athletes. Do we really need to bring them off when either of them could score another goal which would boost confidence. However I guess the coaching team are much closer to the players and their fitness levels than I am from a boozer on the Uxbridge Road. As mentioned above a huge shout out to Adamson who I read is the fittest player stamina wise at the club. What a remarkable turnaround and has come good at just the right time. |

Thank you Clive brilliant as always and bang on the money. A thoroughly enjoyable report on a very dominant QPR performance. It did help that for once the visiting Goalkeeper didn't come as a reincarnation of 1970’s Gordon Banks. A very small gripe from me was using all five subs again so early and not keeping one in your back pocket for late emergencies meaning we yet again finish the game with ten players. Did anyone else notice Ronnie holding his hamstring (please god no) for the last four minutes of injury time. Anyway what do I know we won 4 v 1 so I’ll shut up………. Wishing all the best to Amadou Mbengue, a very important part of this very likeable squad. Praying for an Esquerdinha like recovery…….. |

It is becoming a crazy stat now Clive - Win 4 v 1 in 3rd gear and still they have more possession. I know it's under exceptional circumstances but still.......... I think my head is now with Wild thing - "possession can do one" |

Great preview Clive - Sooner or later the winning without more possession stat has to come to an end. Could tonight be that night. Mind you I thought we would break that stat against Bolton and Preston. QPR 0 v 1 Derby it is then and will be so QPR..... Anyway looking forward to heading to W12 tonight and it might just be one of those nights under the lights at Loftus Road. See you all there - Come on you R'rrs. |

Always enjoy Riley's videos. They remind me of going to QPR with my mates back in the 80's. No camera phones back then mind which is probably a good thing. The clothing is just the same though. |

Nice one Clive clicked onto the site after an afternoon in the pub and wasn't expecting to see your report up so soon. As always it didn't disappoint a fantastic account of a very well earned point. I didn't go last night so was watching on Sky and the Rangers support came through loud and clear. Can we follow up on Wednesday with 3 points which will make this point even more valuable. We continue to move forward in the right direction. You R'rrs. |

Thanks Clive - Really enjoyed that. I am very happy with JS and pleased he signed a new contract. He brings the stability we have been missing for years and will go on to greater things for sure. Pleased to hear Kone is back in training especially with Burrell out for a few weeks. Looks like Kolli will be given his chance in the next few games hope he takes it. The club continues to move in the right direction albeit with bumps along the way. |

Thanks Andrew - Great read and plenty there to try and get my head around. I still have a little niggle that we left some points on the table against Bolton and Charlton but I guess the away point at WBA could be considered a bonus point. The play offs for me will be about player availability which already is starting to look a little worn around the edges. However if we can improve this I think we are in with a shout of the top eight. We do need that big player sale at some point to weather that is in January or the summer remains to be seen but it is absolutely necessary. Looking forward to Friday avoid defeat and that will also fall into the bonus point/s |
 | Forum Reply | C-mob at 09:54 26 Sep 2026
From memory the C mob sort of formed during the early eighties when Chelsea used to come to Loftus Road and take over the place without any resistance. Whilst not the biggest firm they became well respected within that circle as pound for pound a very tidy well organised unit. I witnessed them a few times away from home especially at Luton one time in the mid eighties. The core all seemed to be Notting Hill and Ladbroke Grove chaps and as said above many have now passed away but I do still see some old faces at games every now and then. My claim to fame was a game back in the early eighties when Spurs tried to take the loft (it was pay on the day back then) and and it all kicked off around me so I decided to throw a few right hooks myself (in self defence of course) and the spurs fans were chased out of the loft back onto the concourse and out into Loftus Road. Whilst not proud of it I must admit to at the time being pleased we stood our ground and sent them packing. Explaining my black eye to my mum and dad afterwards was another story. Anyway yes they were a thing back in the day before ecstasy and the acid house scene arrived and the football fighting rivalry seemed to disappear overnight. |

Love this Dorse great article. We are indeed a very unique football club - Our name is unique, our ground and location is unique, our kit is unique and on it goes....... We all follow QPR for many reasons and our fanbase is unique too. As you say with three Premier League teams within a few miles of us it's incredible that our fanbase is in fact growing not shrinking. Wherever you are in the world why do we always have to say "You R'rs" when we meet another fan...... For me my cult hero was Johnny Byrne - At the time I was a young teenage boy going to football with my mates without a care in the world. Great days indeed!! |

Totally agree with this "while Rome burns" scenario. Do we really need to change the rules. Yeah I get it in corporate boxes etc but football is in a good place I love seeing all the families attending QPR together and groups of young girls now joining our ranks. You can drink before, at half time and after the game do we really need people drinking during the game too. I fear it will be counter productive and I love a few pints of Guinness before football. |

Top man Clive - This first class report captures the whole event perfectly. The good, the bad and the ugly. It has long been known that due to Loftus Road’s compact structure the noise from the stands goes downwards onto the pitch. It was bloody noisy in SAR so the decibels at pitch level in the second half must have been incredible. The fans deserve so much credit in getting behind the boys and roaring them back into the game. Good that the Gaffer acknowledged his errors in the starting eleven but that is for another day. Right now I am still buzzing from Paul Smyth’s wonder strike. Who would have thought we would all be so happy with a point against Preston North End. It’s a funny old game……… |
 | Forum Reply | Atmosphere at the match at 14:12 20 Sep 2026
If Madsen’s free kick went in I would have been on the pitch and I was sitting in SAR. Yeah the old lady was rocking second half like we know she can. Makes such a difference. |
