Totally agree on this concurrent sentence issue. At the least, the very least an added crime should add extra years, a third more again and so on. Why should they worry anyway, they’ll be let out on early release to accommodate the hurty word villains! |

We’ve all tried to convince ourselves of that in the past. I’m predicting nothing, we all know money talks. Why is it always our good managers who attract attention? Always something that comes along to distract our good form and focus. |

Really? It didn’t show that on SwansTV. Maybe I missed it as I threw my iPad out of the window😂 [Post edited 19 Oct 11:20]

I’d like some clarification on the goal. It wasn’t clear from the TV whether he was offside or not but there was little complaint from our players when it was given. Who was it playing him onside? TV comms said Ronald but it’s been mentioned on here it was Cabango. Did anyone have a perfect side on view of it? |

Paradoxically, rejoining the EU, the exiting of which the SNP and PC have said was instrumental in their drive for independence, will give them another angle. We’re back in the EU so we may as well be an independent state within it and benefit from more wealthier countries contributions (typical of both those parties). As for the riots, these are going on all over Europe now. Italy and Albania are seeing unrest but I don’t think the cause if the riots are the same. The French riots seem to be dominated by lefty extremists with Free Palestine agendas and immigrants whereas Tirana riots are more about domestic issues. We are going to see a lot of rioting just for the sake of it I think. |

Indeed. It’s not nice when it happens against you but there’s too much at stake in the game these days to play by gentleman’s rules. Although morally ugly it is available to teams and they’ll use it to their advantage wherever they feel it necessary. The authorities are hamstrung to do anything about it because they have to treat each incident as if it’s a serious injury. Can you imagine if the ref lets play go on because they’ve been feigning injury throughout the game but on that occasion he’s broken a bone or been concussed. He’d never ref again. The solution to this is above my pay grade. |

Ouch! I don’t think he played that badly to be dropped but I understand what you are saying to a certain point. There is always an error in him for sure and though I thought it was Ronald playing them onside for their goal on Saturday, RichardO pointed out it may have been him and then compounded the initial error. If he was dropped then I’d play Seelt instead of Lissah at CB leaving him at RB. Eustaquio could take over the captaincy. Unless he drops himself though, it’s just not going to happen. And Burgess may or may not have scored with those chances, we’ll never know but what I can be more certain about is that he would have presented WH with more clear cut chances as a result of the sloppiness we saw week in week out last season. |

These SAS Reserve meet ups must be quite exhausting Steve😁 |

That defence splitting pass down the middle was sadly lacking yesterday. Without doubt, credit goes to WHU for shoring up any gaps but I can’t help thinking we made it easier for them by our slow laborious build-up play. |

Absolutely. I’m not sure anyone has done except this thread talks about both incidents. I don’t find the England is… chant offensive but I don’t like it because it’s rather puerile and cringeworthy. It is just football chanting at the end of the day. The same needs to be understood about the other chant which is sadly taken as a direct personal insult by some. It’s certainly not. |

I can just see him now jumping into the away end crowd surfing and windmilling at the same time, tears in his eyes😂 |

Yes, it’s a word I’ve used several times on here which we lacked yesterday - composure. Lack of that stems from hurrying things as we weren’t confident enough to think things through. It’s things like this we must learn from. Look at it again in group feedback, see where you should have composed yourself and learn. |

On SwansTV comms, Andy Robinson said he could feel an equaliser coming on. I couldn’t, we just weren’t getting into good enough positions and when we did, Ronald at the death, we wasted the chance. He should have gone for it himself but I reckon the way things had gone it would have been saved, gone over or gone wide. As you say, just wasn’t to be. |

Now Trump has paused sanctions on Russia. Happy Birthday Vlad! What on earth is he doing? He’s helping one of the nations who are a threat to world peace and security in the name of what? Is this what MAGA support? Will the mid terms react positively or negatively? Will he declare a fraudulent voting system if the latter? The man is a fool but of course most of us realise that! |

A great synopsis Richard highlighting what most of us are thinking, that we are spending too much time slowing the game down in our own half and not counter attacking quickly enough. This is why we can’t flood the box because opposition defences, especially one as technically adept as West Ham’s can organise themselves at will. Spot on about Yeo as well. There needs to be more work done to ensure when he goes on his run that support not only for the first pass but subsequent passes are there to pull defences apart. I’m disappointed at yesterday’s result as well could have got a point at least but our profligacy in front of goal has cost us. It’s down to lack of composure in my opinion (in training they’d be burying them) but it wasn’t just yesterday. Other games have seen us make similar mistakes preventing a high scoring win. Goal difference is going to be important this year and I don’t believe we are scoring as much as we could / should. I think Matos has a big week ahead of him. If we as supporters are all seeing much the same thing he needs to be aware also. We have another very tough game ahead of us next week and hopefully they will take some confidence from yesterday and learn from their errors and take it to QPR. |
