Darren Remains In Manager's Plans Tuesday, 17th Aug 2010 07:14 Brendan Rodgers says that uncertainty over Darren Pratley's future will not cost him his place The Swansea City manager says that Pratley very much remains in his plans despite the midfielder saying that he was not prepared to sign the contract on offer to him at the Liberty Stadium. Pratley is out of contract next summer and amidst speculation that he could be on the move to Nottingham Forest - something that Rodgers suggested was unlikely with Pratley's only destination - according to his manager - being the Premier League. "If Darren is going to leave, it has to be for a Premier League club," Brendan told the Evening Post. "I have a lot time for him as a player and I have pushed really hard for him to sign a new deal since I came in. "The board have worked very hard to offer the best possible deal, and if that's not enough than that's where we are at. "But will it affect me picking Darren? No. "Maybe there are some things in the back of his mind, but he is a wonderful professional and he loves this club. "I expect he will be here for the rest of the season and I want my best players playing." Photo: Action Images Please report offensive, libellous or inappropriate posts by using the links provided.
