There were some good examples of progressive passing from the back - a major weakness last season - the central defence looked strong and did well to restrict Blackburn opportunities. Dickie isn't that good a ball player and although his stepping out created space for others in midfield be is always at risk of being caught in possession, unless others make themselves available quickly. I thought both full backs were poor going forward and Paal was disappointing. I liked the look of Richards when he came on. Also difficult to assess this game until we are clearer about how good Rovers are. I think they are a pretty decent team so a 1-0 defeat, when we did have chances may not be that bad. Hopeful signs.
