Cant believe no one even appealed? The Pompey player is inside the 6 yard box.

Exiled Dale fan here, don’t see many games, but whenever I see the goals conceded all I see is Sanchez having a go at the players around him, never his fault. Can’t be good for team spirit. Am I wrong?

No, you're not wrong, i've commented on this before and since then he's made a few basic errors which have led to conceding, without any self-reflection it would appear

Needs to stop, and BBM needs to tell him outright to stop

Correct, and although we see keepers getting frustrated with defensive errors, there's ways and means

The first instance i mentioned this was when he loudly berated Luke Matheson a couple of months back, when it wasn't even his (or just his) fault we conceded

They deserved it but some decent performances by Dale. Wilbraham needs to start up front if fit because he held it up well and brought players into it leading to a reasonable number of chances

Sanches and the central defenders did we'll as they put in about 40 crosses. Keohane had a decent game when he came on. The other 2 subs offered nothing

Expected result against a strong team & another tough game at home to Rotheram. Tranmere have 3 games to our 1 coming up & hopefully they will not get more than 3 points

Hope we can sort out RND for next Saturday......another big miss if Bonesy is still crocked as well. RND never shirks a challenge and tends to suffer as a result. Some of our other players should take note. Keohane is a fine deputy though.

It's a pity that our other two subs were useless again.

Pompey bring on their sub and he scores the goal of the game from outside the box to seal the game. Quality counts.

According to the stats, we had some 53% possession. The tactic of possession base is obviously not working because we lost 3 nil. BBM says he wants to build on recent results which must mean plummeting to relegation places.
From relative safety, we are nearing danger.
Worried, me !

We only had 3 shots on target, one of those being Henderson’s speculative 30 yard effort that hit the bar.

2 shots on target in 90 minutes other than that.

“Style of play” / “Possession football” only exists to get shots in on target.

We do not shoot at goal enough under BBM and that is our and his biggest problem.

Hitting the bar isn't on target

We played much better last night and away from home at a top club. We can't have any complaints. It's what happens against the lower clubs that matters.

That’s even worse then!

I can see why the floating supporter isn’t scrambling up to Spotland in their thousands to pay £20 to watch 3.5 shots on target!

Football is expensive and an entertainment business and I defy anyone who watched that performance last night to be able to say it was an entertaining game.

Rotherham will be the same next week. High Rochdale possession, low number of shots on target, Rotherham away win.

Refreshing that most of the highlights were focused on our attacks. Rare for that to be the case this season.
Hope this run of having to use substitutes in the first half comes to an end.
By most accounts we played quite well against a quality team. What I like about BBM is that he is willing to go for it fairly early when we are losing. KH was often to slow to react to a game changer. Murphy had to replace Morley when he fouled again after being booked. Having Alby, Hendo, Done and Andrew on the pitch for the last 15 minutes is testament to his have a go approach. After all Alex Ferguson once said every manager goes 4 upfront when they are losing with only minutes left. So often that Kitchen Sink approach can lead to a bigger loss. So be it.
I have already posted the revised odds for relegation, Tranmere are 1/7 for a reason.
The table is right we are not a bottom 3 team. Just hope the anxiety some supports are apparently feeling does not affect the team.

We’ve lost to 2nd in the league, now 3rd in the league and on Saturday will lose your top of the league. Absolutely unreal that fans are calling for BBMs head.

I love Hendo unfathomable amounts, but please tell me during 90 minutes what he does for us that 3 young players wouldn’t do for us.

We’re safe this season, but that’s why we need to be looking at next.

Scores most of our goals?

We didn't shoot at goal enough during the end of Hill's tenure either. We know we have players that can pull off
some pretty impressive goals but why is it such a rarity?

Shots have reduced under BBM.

http://www.footstats.co.uk/

If the league table is done on shots on target (the best indicator of chances created), we are:

2019/2020 (to date) - 20th (3.35 shots on target per game)
2018/2019 - 14th (4.13 shots on target per game)
2017/2018 - 12th (4.22 shots on target per game)
2016/2017 - 10th (4.48 shots on target per game)
2015/2016 - 13th (4.20 shots on target per game)

It was declining under Hill but this season is one of real decline

13 out of 36 league goals.

I can’t think of another season where others, excluding Henderson, have contributed so few goals - 23 across the rest of the squad is a very low number.

We will be lost without him.

What has led to this dirth of shots, confidence, ability opposition doing their homework on us combo of all three? What is the answer?

Whilst it's fine having 4 attacking players on the pitch for last few minutes , two of them Calvin and Done do not have a league goal between them. Why not Dooley up front.

Without Hendo we would be stuffed.

36 league goals Split as follows:

Hendo - 13 goals
Camps - 6 goals
Wilbraham, Morley and Dooley - 3 goals
Rathbone - 2 goals
6 other players - 1 goal

IMO there are a lot of players going through the motions.

I don't expect Hendo, Camps or Wilbraham to be here next season.

Sunderland a 3-0 which could have been 6
Portsmouth a 3-0 which was an undeserved 3-0 in fact Dale probably deserved something from the game

Passing was mixed up, attacking play was better up to the finish.

Key moments for me - Hendo's poor lob come chip
Conceding when down to 10
Lund's header - 6 inches either side and it's level
Quality of substitutes.

Unfortunately they have a quality 18 and didn't even bring Pitman on and we brought on a striker with no goals in the last 15-16 months
