Thats unfair on Roerslev, a player with nearly 100 Premier League appearances to his name and plenty of experience in the Championship as well. If you want to judge him on his peers, how bad were most of the team under Will Still, those that have flourished under Eckert were no better than Roerslev. Roerslev was signed as a right back he is not a wing back but under Still we never played with a back four, he would be suited to playing in the current formation. He has got injured after playing just 9 games, he has just been unlucky, aside from a metertersal injury early in his career, he doesnt have a history of injuries, we cant judge him against Bree till we have seen more and lets be honest Bree had not been first choice at right back at any time during his time at the club up to now. Bree was ironically held up as an example of Sport Republic's poor recruitment etc etc for the past 3 years. So if Bree can return as the prodigal son then I am willing to give Roerslev a chance

Exactly so. I think we'll wind up with 2 quality right backs for the run in. Back up all over the team will be key. I certainly remember Bree's loan to Charlton was declared good business by many on here. But as our late Queen memorably said " recollections may vary "

Think you are misremembering fella! Bree is a decent championship player Elias Jelert by kingslandstand1 31 Aug 2025 20:36Season long loan signing from Galatasary formerly with Copenhagen. Bit of experience despite only being 22 but could be a decent defensive signing?

| James Bree on 03:27 - Feb 16 with 475 views | SNPMT | Bree has been a solid player since he arrived at Saints, and should never have been loaned out. Certain people did not rate him but they were, and are, wrong. Bree, unlike others, say KWP, has the physicality to defend as well as the ability to contribute going forward. That Jones recruited him is irrelevant. | | | |

That's what I was saying, not very clearly it seems. Loaning him while playing 3 CH was dopey cos Roeslev was not a wing back. Now with Bree back and Roeslev due back, we will have good cover on our right in the back 4 set up. Sorry for any confusion.
